After what happened dun sa Baguio nagbago ang lahat; I changed, he changed and our friendship changed. Days become lighter and sweeter for us; afternoon lunch and dinner dates.
Since nakaleave ako from the hospital ay mas naasikaso ko sya, para na nya nga akong house wife but, we still respect each other privacy and we still didn't do the deed.
I was surfing on my laptop when Thomas storm out from his room all set to start his day.
"Forgetting this?" I said and raised his tumbler and the paper bag.
Pumunta sya sa harapan ko and I put him between my legs.
"Aga natin ngayon ah? Hindi ka ba muna kakain ng almusal?" I said habang inaayos yung polo nya at buhok nya.
"As much as I want to I can't, masyadong busy ngayon sa firm and today is the ground breaking of T building" lumayo sya saakin and took a sip on my cup of coffee.
"Okay sabi mo. By the way ito nga pala yung baon mo for today" inusog ko naman yung brown paperbag na may sandwich at tumbler.
I caught him smiling from my peripheral view. Kilig na kilig nanaman sya.
"Oh bakit hindi ka pa umaalis?" I said still looking at my laptop. In an instant I felt his arms around me and he kiss my temple.
"Thank you for this. I'll come back at two so you better get ready, mama is expecting us later " he whispered on my ear and kiss me on my cheek.
"Have a good day!" I waved at him before he could fully exit our apartment.
And now naiwan nanaman akong mag isa sa apartment namin. Well today is a thursday and it is used to be our hangout night when we where in college; Happy T.
Since Christmas is fast approaching and tomorrow I would be going home in Pampanga so maybe, I should do gift shopping.
I ate breakfast then start to list gifts to people from my work, family in Pampanga to the Torres'.
Nagbrowse nadin ako ng mga sale and mga christmas bazaar around the metro.
At exactly ten in the morning I'm ready to start my shopping spree.
I drive myself to glorietta and thank heavens that the traffic is not heavy.
Una kong binilhan ng regalo ay yung mga kasama ko sa hospital, my secretary, yung apat na nurse sa ER na kaclose ko at yung dalawang doctor na kasama ko sa office. I bought them iconic socks since it is a trend and affordable.
Before I left the stall a superman designed socks caught my attention.
Ysay. It may sound weird pero isang araw naisip ko na baka si Ysay si Superman kasi hindi nya tinatanggal yung eye glasses nya.
"Ate paki masama na din 'to" inabit ko naman sa kanya yung socks.
Matapos mamili ay pumunta na ako sa may landmark at bumili ng kurtina para kay mama at kay Jane.
While I'm strolling on the curtain section my phone beep.
Kahit hindi ko pa nakikita ang cellphone ko ay nakaguhit na sa mga labi ko ang isang ngiti.
But sadly it is not Thomas kaya binalik ko sa aking bulsa ang cellphone ko.
In the end blinds yung nabili ko kay mama kasi wala akong matipunan na kurtina.
Around two ng matapos ako sa nga pamimili ko and finally I'm walking my way to the costumer's service para ipa-gift wrap lahat ng nasa tote bag ko.
I love big tote bags kasi it is so handy in times like this.
Inabot ako ng kalahating oras sa paghihintay dun sa gift wrap.
