Pitch black. It was all dark for a moment, then flashes of red and blue. Sirens. At first they were faded but they started to get louder and louder as the sound got nearer.
Tyler felt hands on him. "1,2,3." He was lifted from wherever he was. He didn't know. Tyler couldn't open his eyes and he couldn't move. It was as if he was paralyzed.
Then, white. Bright white lights. But then it was all pitch black again.

Tyler blinked weakly before completely opening his eyes to analyze his surroundings. He was on a soft bed with white sheets and duvet. He also had a window beside his bed, and beside it were a few cards, flowers, and a small brown teddy bear with a blue bow around its neck.
"Tyler. Tyler, oh my goodness he's awake." Tyler overheard a woman say.
He was very confused as to how or why he was in a hospital. He didn't feel any pain other that his head, which was killing him. He lifted up his left hand to feel it...but he suddenly couldn't move it very comfortably. Tyler looked at his arm and saw a cast around it. He lifted up his right hand instead to feel his head, and soon noticed that his head had bandages around it.
Before he could think of possibilities as to how that happened, three people came into the hospital room. Two men and a woman. The woman looked very familiar and so did the man that wasn't dressed like a doctor.
"Tyler Joseph." The doctor that came in said more to himself than to Tyler himself. He looked at a few papers that he had brought with him on a cardboard and then put them away after a few seconds. "How are you feeling?"
"M-my head." Tyler said in pain as he squinted.
"Anything else?" The doctor asked, moving closer to him and taking a small flashlight out of his pocket.
"Is my arm broken?" Tyler showed the doctor the cast he had around it.
"Yes, you broke your arm." The doctor confirmed. "Only in one place though, which is quite impressive."
Tyler had so many questions but he didn't know where to start. Why was he in the hospital? What happened to him? Who are those two other people in the room? Why does his head hurt?
"Tyler, do you know where you are?"
"A hospital." What an obvious question.
"Why are you here?"
"I- I don't know. I just remember everything going black."
"Do you know what day it is?"
"January? 2nd? Or maybe the 1st."
"It's January 7th." The doctor told him. "You were out for a few days."
"Oh." Was all Tyler managed to say to that. Another question arrived; 'why was he gone for so long?'
"What's your second name."
"Robert?" He said in more of a questioning tone. Was that it?
"How old are you?"
He assumed "Robert" was the correct answer since the doctor didn't correct him.
"17." He definitely knew this one.
"What's the last thing you remember?"
Tyler tried to think. "I- I went to this party on New Years, a few classmates went I think. I remember sirens and being picked up."
The doctor wrote down his answers on a small note package he had in his hands.
"What happened to me? What's happening?"
The doctor sighed before he spoke.
"Tyler, you were in a car accident."
