"I love it!" I exclaimed to my parents. It's my birthday, I just turned 16 and they got me car. It's a Toyota Camry and it's not the Ferrari spider I wanted but it's good enough."Thank you, thank you, your the best parents ever!" I gave them big hugs and kisses.
"Glad you like it. And I hope you'll take good care of it." My dad said. My dad is a lawyer and a really good one. We live in a the very small town of Cantua Creek, California, and it's not hard to get to the top here. I lived here my whole life and developed so many friends. Speaking of friends I can't wait to show my best friends Lola and Angela my new car!
"Yeah dad, anyways I gotta get to school and in my new car!" I got into my car and started the engine, it sounded wonderful. "Love you guys, bye." I heard them yell happy birthday to me as I backed out of the driveway.
When I got to school I realized that I was really early, probably all my excitement made me rush to school in order to show off my new car to everyone. I parked in a parking space closest to the school building so more people can see me get out of my car. I spotted Angela near the building, she always walks to school plus she always ends up really early. Angela has brown wavy hair with brown eyes. Angela is one out of two of my best friends, I have a lot of friends but there's a reason she's my best friend. Angela is a a really smart girl and when I say smart I mean book smart, Angela is a straight A student has all AP classes and is never late for anything. The reason Angela is my best friend is because she caring, and loving and just plain nice, Angela is a person I can go to, to talk about my problems with and she listens and she cares and she comforts. Another reason she's my best friend is that Angela is the kind of friend that can help you with school, because of Angela's know-it-all brain she can help you with anything which is why I can manage a B or C grade, I would flunk without her.
"Hey Angela, wait up!" I get out of my car and walk over to her.
"Is that what I think it is?" Angela asks.
"Well if you think that's a car, my car then yes."
"No way!"
"Yes, and now if you want I can give you a ride to school."
"I would accept that offer but you always come to school right when the bell rings and I don't like being late"
"Well then."
"By the way, happy birthday Lexi!"
"Thanks, you are coming to the party tomorrow, right?" Today is Friday but i'm having my birthday party tomorrow so it can last longer plus all the girls are sleeping over.
"Wouldn't miss it."
"Good."
Angela and I walked into the building and I got tons of happy birthday's from people. My invitations to my party really raised awareness. We were in the school hallway when a boy walked up to us, it was Conner. Conner is one of my friends though I wish we could be more then friends , I have a huge crush on him. Conner is blond with blue eyes he's beautiful.
"Hey Conner." I said.
"Hey Lexi, isn't it your birthday?" He asked.
"You remembered my birthday?"
"No, I just heard Angela scream happy birthday to you so I just figured...."
"Oh, well yeah it's my birthday."
"Happy birthday, i guess. I just thought it was tomorrow cause your having your party tomorrow so...."
"Are you coming to my party?"
"Yeah, I guess.
"Hey Lexi, there's Lola let's catch up with her." Angela said. "Man he said 'I guess' a lot.
"I know right."
"OK, bye Conner." Angela and I walked over to Lola who was talking to Ms.Lesta, the school's drama teacher. She spotted us walking toward her and did all but push Ms.Lesta away.
"Happy Birthday Lexi!" She screamed.
"Thanks." Lola is my other best friend, she's brave, energetic, stubborn, and fearless. The reason I love Lola is because she does everything Angela dosn't. She's the friend that you talk about boys with, the one who takes you to party after a breakup, the one who acts as a bodyguard for protection from jerks and losers, and lastly the one who will give me advice on being bitch when needed. Lola wants to be a actress in the future, she's a total drama queen and she is always practicing her acting skills on you. For example one day she might go up to a random guy and slap him in face and exclaim "I can't believe you cheated on me!" Another thing about Lola is she wears the weirdest cloths. Her wardrobe is mostly color she owns nothing black or grey, and she's always wearing at least 50 accessories. Lola has red hair and not natural red I mean red, red the actual color, she dyed it went she was 13 because that's when she finally convinced her parents to let her. Today Lola is wearing a pink tank-top with a green cardigan and a red leather jacket, she also has green jeans with colorful splats of paint on it. Lola also has like 50 bangles and 20 necklaces on (all different colors), her shoes are pink converse all-star high tops.
"So, I saw you talking with Conner.." She said in high voice.
"He just said happy birthday." I explained.
"He said happy birthday? That's great."
"Not really it's only the polite thing to do."
"Yeah, but you said it yourself he's being polite around you, he totally likes you." She said in matter-a-fact.
"I wish, anyways we have to get to class and fast cause I got like a million happy birthdays on my walk through the school and I can't take saying anymore thank you's"
"Your so popular Lexi, of course everyones saying happy birthday to you." Angela said.
"Thank you Angela but everyone knows it's my birthday, their just being polite and saying happy birthday."
"Your really are blind arn't you?" Lola said jokingly.
"What do you mean?"
"Everyone loves you and everyone wants to be you, your beyond popular."
"That's not true."
"Whatever."
We walked into class right when the bell rang.
