Caycee's POV
"Its an irrelevant subject to bring up, I'm not going. I don't know anyone, I am not going to grind on anyone. So it's pointless." I said while plopping a cheese cube in my mouth from the container of assorted cheeses.
"But think, it's your senior year and you haven't been to any good parties, unless, you know, you went without me." Katrina expressed her words with a fake hurt expression. I laughed at this.
"Its hardly my scene. What do I do, drink beers, illegally, and dance like a baboon with you? It sounds tempting, but I've been to enough parties to last my whole highschool experience. " I assured as I popped another cheddar cube in my mouth.
"Yeah right." she sarcastically rolled. her eyes and reached over the counter and picked up the container.
"Ew, stop trying to find alternatives to your candy." She said with a smirk, I stuffed a whole bunch of different cheeses In my mouth and chewed vigorously in her face.
She pushed my face with the palm of her hand with a chuckle, at my childishness. The bell rang from the door, and here comes the crowd of all the popular people. Drool worthy, the guys looked, and either beautiful or looked like they belonged on a corner for the girls. But that corner was not the corner of happy and healthy as Walgreens would say.
"Cover for me, please, I beg of you." I pleaded.
"Nope, you're the waitress." She said taking a cheese.
I huffed, and flattened out my apron that wrapped around my hips and covered the top part of my paint stained skinny jeans. I pulled out my writing pad and pen and started walking towards the 'It' crowd.
Just breathe. Don't be creepy, Don't be creepy.
"Hi, I'm Caycee, Ill be helping you today, can I start you off with drinks?" I said with knot in my stomach, so far, so good. No stuttering. Oh, what if I drop the drinks they order. Oh, no, now its going to happen. My worried thoughts were interrupted, when a deep, soft voice snapped me back to reality.
" 5 cokes, 3 waters, 4 lemonades for now." I wrote down what he said as fast as I could and walked over behind the counter, and shoved the paper in the chef's face. He nodded and turned to work.
I tapped my foot impatiently with the sudden flush of anxiety that they were here. You would think I'd get used to it after seeing them here quite a lot, but no.
They were served up and I placed some on the tray and few in my hand, as I walked over the drinks in my hand flew everywhere.
"Shit." I muttered under my breath. Some beautiful girls snickered, some sneered at my clumsiness, while one girl walked over to help.
Who was very natural, dirty blonde hair, blue eyed. She was gorgeous, and I was just me. She gave a small smile and picked up the fallen cups, she took my tray and put it on their table and handed me the cups.
"I am so sorry." I said, its all I could say, I can't believe I did that.
"You better be, such a clutz." The whore of the rather big group piped in.
"She is, but you can call 2004 they want their word back, no one says clutz. She said she was sorry, and I'll get your drinks." Katrina said coming out of the kitchen with the lemonades.
"Enjoy." Katrina said with the most fake, sweetest voice she could muster. Turned on her heel grabbing my funny bone and dragging me into the kitchen.
"You're going to get me fired!" I said trying not to laugh at my friend who had just snapped on the whore.
"Oi, baby she had it coming when she walked in with that outfit on Ta loca!" Simon, he's our gay chef, and my gay bestfriend.
