Sweet kisses he gives to my lips,
leading my heart to do flips.

Yearning for the bliss he provides,
wishing that their hate, he defies.

And here lies that boy upon the shore,
where he horizons beyond nevermore.

And too soon he has been saved,
by the blinding light over which he has caved.

And as I run towards his retreating figure,
he gets smaller, he gets farther.

And it seems that he thinks of me,
as a burden to him, too much of a bother.

For then his blue gaze comes across another girl,
and his feelings for me are all but hurled.

And here I stand to witness another death,
for every single movement of my leaving breath.

And as his beguiling limbs take her hand,
he lets go of mine, leaves it witness to its demands.

But he does let his loving gaze glimpse back,
only for his feet to continue their wretched track.

Leaving my haphazard mind to overthink,
leaving me wondering where I have started to sink.

Because what do I lack,
that I cannot get him back?
