She is blinded by their delusion,
the product of being chained by confusion.

And by the contract of which you have made,
she stands as the price you have paid.

And while you she is forced to sway,
there alone she still lays.

As your footsteps recede from her, away,
leaving behind you a thundering cloud of dismay.

Whilst she adheres to tosses and turns,
trying to rid herself of the morning burns.

For when she is with the likes of you,
her stomach all but twists and churns.

Because this is not what she wants,
though the debts pile up; taunting.

For the money he has spilled,
and now the nightmares keep haunting.

And whilst her heart wishes to break,
her mind is always carefully awake.

And yes, she may be strong,
but this girl cannot hold on for long.
