"What the fuck happened to you?!"
As Choro expected, it was the pink-haired punk he came to know as Tater Tot who had been the first to greet him as soon as he stumbled home with blood seeping from his pure white polo and dripping from his probably broken nose. Following the pink-eyed walking disaster was the eldest brother, Kara, who immediately grabbed the first aid kit upon seeing the stumbling male enter the living room while leaving droplets of blood on the carpeted floor.
Oso, normally lax and lazy, went as far as to jump over the sofa once he realized what was going on, with Mimatsu flapping wildly on his head as if to panic. Jyushi looked on from the sofa helplessly, and Choro honestly wanted him to stay that way. The last thing he wanted was the youngest to strain himself by using the remaining strength he had to stumble over to him just to check it he was okay. At least the purple-eyed megalomaniac brother, Ichi, forced his little brother to stay on the couch rather than get a close-up of the horror that is the slash on Choro's chest.
Unfortunately for him, he was an idiot. An idiot dense enough to float on water. And of course, he knew how hard both Kara and Todo worked in order to get rid of stains, whether it be dirt from Oso's tendency to lie on the park floor, or barbecue sauce stained on Ichi's favorite purple coat. A dark red liquid with a disgusting smell stained Choro's top, and there was even a slash; actual proof that he had encountered someone dangerous.
"I'm sorry!" He sheepishly laughed, trying to lighten up the situation. It wasn't good at all. Kara looked horrified, Ichi and Todo both looked nervous (which was rare for them to show), Jyushi was crying, and even Oso, who rarely showed emotion, seemed terrified. God, messing up really nice clothes was enough to send this family crying, Choro noticed. "I know that stains are hard to wash off-"
"Idiot!" Ichi barked at him, trying to soothe his scared little brother.
"You're bleeding!" Todo added in for Ichi, practically ripping off Choro's green coat adorned with too much glitter that made Todo feel itchy just by looking at it. "Take your clothes off! We're checking the wound! Oso!"
"On it." In an instant, Choro realized he was off the ground and was being lifted up by Oso's telekinesis. Jyushi set the pillows on one side and took Kiiro-kun with him as Ichi carried him off the sofa and into his arms, and Oso lowered the green-eyed magician onto the couch. "..There."
"Thanks." Kara distractedly told the second youngest, fishing for something in the first aid kit. "What happened to you?! Did you seriously walk home without anyone questioning you?!"
Choro hums in thought as he unbuttons the polo and gives it to Oso, who in turn, proceeds to set it on flames with the snap of his fingers rather than dumping it in the laundry basket. But with the state the polo was in, there was no way in hell that Kara would be able to sew the cloth and wash the stains away. "Someone tried to mug me." He states simply, before flinching when Kara applies a little bit of povidone-iodine on the wound. It doesn't sting, but the sudden contact was enough to make him feel a small amount of pain.
"Of what." Todo growls, already plotting murder.
"You don't bring money with you when going out. And you don't even have a phone." Ichi adds, adjusting his hold on his little brother. The third oldest could probably look into the cameras of Akatsuka City in order to pin-point the location where Choro was mugged. Then he'd tell Todo, and have him handle the rest. "What do they want to steal?"
Jyushi nuzzles his head on Ichi's cheek a bit, before turning to see Choro. The wound wasn't too deep, thankfully, but it would surely leave another scar. And that wasn't good. His older brother hated scars. "That." Jyushi pointed at Choro, his hand hidden by the sleeve of his turtleneck.
"..Oh." Oso moves a bit to Choro, before pointing at the same thing Jyushi was pointing at. "..It was that.. they were trying.. to steal that.."
Ah.
The green necklace that symbolized eternal peace, and Choro's family heirloom. The one-of-a-kind necklace and the real deal, in contrast to the fake ones that Yoshio's company produced. "Oh! The jewel of my family!"
"I get wearing it because it's important, but do a better job of hiding it." Kara lightly scolds, taking out bandages. "Like Jyushi and Ichi. They hide their rings with gloves. Wear something that hides your neck."
"Your necklace will get you a lot of money when sold, Kodoku." Ichi frowns. "Either do a better job of hiding it or leave it at home. You could have gotten robbed, or worse, killed. People these days will do anything for money." He clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Criminals are truly scum.."
"Niichi.." Jyushi frowned, tugging on his older brother's coat.
"I do express my deepest and most sincere apologies." Choro sighed. "That was a rather nice polo too-"
"It wasn't the polo we were worried about, idiot!" Todo hissed through gritted teeth. "Who knows what kind of criminal was that?! What if that fucker killed you and hid the body, huh?! Have you ever thought about the aftermath?! What if we continue living on, wondering what became of you?! You're such a fucking dense idiot..!"
Choro blinked, before lightly chuckling. "I am sorry for worrying you, Tater Tot." He softly says, eyeing the rest of his family. "I am sorry for worrying my family. I will be more careful next time."
"You better!"
