CHAPTER TWO
In the F. B. I. interviewing room sat Joe and Ameilia Trattner who has brought a scrapbook of Sean Collins. As Joe questioned Amelia, Mitch stood in the control room behind a two-way mirror and was talking to Joe through an earpiece, which Amelia was oblivious of.
"How did you meet Sean Collins, Ms. Tattner?" Joe asked.
"I'm a cellist with the National Symphony. Sean guested as first violinist three years ago." She responded.
Mitch spoke into his microphone. "Check out the photo of them kissing... Huh, mega-tongue action goin' on there, Joe."
Joe pointed to the picture. "How long did you, uh, know him this way?"
"With in a couple weeks of our meeting."
Mitch scoffed. "He was barely shaving then. What is she doing, playing squeeze and squish with a nineteen year old?"
Joe furrowed his brow and whispered. "Squeeze and squish?"
Amelia looked at him in confusion. "Pardon?"
"With a nineteen year old?" Joe whispered again, directed at Mitch.
Amelia sighed. "Sean pursued me. His taste ran toward older women."
"Ms. Trattner, do you think, ah, Seanwas killed for his violin?" Joe asked, trying to get past that awkward incident.
"No. No one does. You can't sell it anywhere. And we would know by now if they were trying to ransom it back." Amelia answered.
Mitch squinted at the screen, showing the pair at the table and zoomed in on a picture but stayed silent until he knew what he was looking at.
"Can you think of anyone who'd want him dead?" Joe questioned again. These were less boring when Scott was here.
"Every violinist in the world No one had seen left hand technique like Sean's since Franz von Biber. His little finger was insured for ten million dollars." Amelia looked bored.
Mitch zoomed in more on the picture, specifically at Amelia's expression towards Sean.
"Great. Thank you, Ms. Trattner. Thank you for your cooperation. You, you can leave now." Joe said as he stood.
"NO JOE WAIT HOLD UP!" Mitch yelled into his microphone. Joe jumped and sat back down
"Actually, one more thing..." Joe tapped the mic in his own earpiece and whisper yelled. "What?!"
"Okay, first off? No sass. Secondly, check out her face, in the quartet photo." Mitch said.
Joe nodded and pointed to the picture. "Just one more uh question, I'm sorry. Um, what's going on here?"
"It was impossible not to watch him when played." She responded, not so bored anymore.
"You, uh, don't look very impressed?"
Mitch sighed. "Joe, it looks she's lost something or someone, you twit."
"Like you've lost him." Joe repeated.
"Because she knew he was going to die!" Mitch figured out.
Joe shook his head slightly. "Like there was someone else..."
Mitch raised an eyebrow. "What now?"
"There was someone else in his life. Someone I need to know about, Angela. I need you to tell me."
