CHAPTER ELEVEN
In the Jeffersonian basement, where the vault was now, the gang stood around safedeposit box 1026. Kirstie wore a smelter's mask and rubber gloves.
"What I'm doing is smothering the phosphorus with argon. Thus, giving Joe time to reach him with tongs to remove whatever is inside the box before it ignites." She explained.
Joe nodded, then thought for a moment. "Why me?"
"Obviously, because you have the fastest reflexes." Scott scoffed.
Joe rolled his eyes. "Fine." He then turned to Kirstie and nodded. "You can pull the tray."
Kevin "Exactly how far back should I be standing...?"
Kirstie shrugged and pulled the mask down while putting her other hand out for Max to hand her the tools she called for. "Ready? Door. Tray. Lid. Tongs."
Within half of a second of the door opening, Joe grabbed what was in the box and it minutely exploded.
"Whoa..." Joe blinked a few times.
Kirstie lifted her mask. "Did he get it?"
"Yes, Kirstie, cant you see?" Scott asked as he took the mask completely off of her head.
"Nope. Not for another three minutes. The flash."
"Well, in case you were wondering, it's a key with a bar code on it."

In Joe's office, he and Scott were talking to a social worker, Joyce Summers.
"You called me to the FBI because you found a key to my office?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We accessed the information contained in the bar code. It came up as the key to your office in the Social Service's building." Scott answered.
"That's not the key to my office." She looked at it with confusion.
"Room 1026. Municipal Department of Social Services?"
"Nobody's used a key like that since the seventies. It was before my time." Joyce shook her head.
Joe sat a little taller as he started thinking. "Wait a second. Has that office always belonged to social services?"
"Yes. Back then, it was dealing with foster care and group homes." She replied.
"Joe, Malo was right. That'd be a great place to recruit disturbed boys!" Scott perked up.
"Recruit for what? Uhm... It's just that that man that was in that office is a bit of a legend. He helped a lot of kids find their way..."
Joe got out his small case pad. "Name?"
"Liam O'Riordan. He's retired now."
Scott raised an eyebrow. "He wouldn't happen to live in a nursing home that used to be a mansion, would he?"

At Restview Nursing Home, Joe and Scott were there to question Liam O'Riordan and they were led in by a nursing home attendant, Mark Naylor.
"Mr. O'Riordan has been here for five years. In a wheelchair for the last four. Sweet guy. A little particular about what he eats." Mark explained as he led them.
"You got nooo idea." Joe mumbled.
Mark turned around. "Pardon?"
Scott cut in as he saw who he thought was Liam. "Oh, What's wrong with Mr. O'Riordan?"
