Chapter 8

Max,"No matter what that box contains we are here for you and we are here to guide you, help you and train you for what's to come... Princess Annabeth."

Anna laughed at the thought of being a Princess.

 Anna, " Princess? Me? Me! Hahaha! You're kidding me "

Max," Yes! You! THE Princess, go ahead open the box" 

Mary was just there observing these two as she held the box towards her.

Max smiled at Anna. He was excited to see what hidden treasures awaited them. Taking the box from Mary, She held it analyzing every detail on the box and tracing the flowers on the box. Taking a deep breath as she looked at both Mary and Max opening the box. A letter came into view with the words, 

" To my dearest daughter From Queen Sheridan."

It had a wax seal. She hesitated to open the letter.

 Placing a hand on Annabeth's shoulder,

 Max," Go on, open it. I'm sure it won't bite you" 

 Looking at Max she took her last and final deep breath before opening it,

  Anna, "OK. here it goes"

 Opening the letter she found an old picture of her parents and a baby Annabeth in what resembled Queen Sheridan's arms. Then there was a written letter that said

"Dearest Daughter, I know it is hard to adapt to your fate and destiny of saving the kingdom of Majestinia during these tough times, but I have left you in good hands to take care of you. You must learn to never give up and listen to those close to you. Don't trust anyone and prepare like never before, know your abilities as best as you can. Ask those close to you for help when you most need it. As of two days ago your father died just from sickness it is a sad tragedy, But ill be awaiting your return in Majestinia. Be brave and stay strong. Sincerely Your Mother, Queen Sheridan." 

 Shocked, a tear made way down her cheek. Giving the letter to Max, Mary comforted her in a hug. Looking in the box once again she saw a necklace with a note attached that said 

" Gifts from Queen Sheridan and King Frian :  My dear, wear these to protect yourself and to keep contact with those who are close to your heart ." 

The necklace was more intricate than what Max or Mary had given her. It was silver with a pendant that had gear with engraved with a crown and the initials S and F.

What exactly did these gifts represent?

Anna," What does she mean by protection Mary?" 

 Annabeth looked at Mary,

 Mary," The purpose of the Jewelry we have given you is to protect you from evil, like what you encountered on your birthday. Your uncle's men can make spells and enchantments that can affect how you act and can possess you. The ones your parents have provided you with are the true protection that only Royals can wear. That one helps hide you from evil at a distance.  Jewelry like the ones we both have given you are for connecting with us in times of danger, they also protect but not as like the royal ones. The amazing thing about your royal jewelry is that it can be hidden and shifted in many ways for example like a bracelet or necklace and you can connect it to those who are closest to you so that way you don't have to wear all of it. I know this will be relevant to you more than us since you're royal." 

Anna," How do I "activate" it then?"

Mary, " I'm not sure hun." 

Max decided it was enough information for the day,
