I was led to a big room, painted white with an oddly familiar odor of detergent. I was given some sort of apron. I had to put that on to my bare skin, which was very uncomfortable. Soniya gave me a brief explanation. I was to lie down on this weird bed, the chemotherapy would take about forty to forty-five minutes and I would need to attend the session twice a week.

"It's not painful, however, during the process, you will need to be very still. The bed will be moved into a chamber where chemotherapeutic lights will be shone at you. Your eyes must remain closed, and if you wish to be given special glasses to protect your eyes, which is very common."

I didn't want this at all, but I swore that I would pursue my dream of going to a good college in Canada. This has to be done.

"I'd like the glasses, please." A bit of quivering in my voice. The knot in my throats didn't seem to be helping me very much, burning my insides.

"That's not a problem. I'm going to assign Alexandria to be your nurse. I would also like to mention that you will be given a dropper in the back of your left elbow. This will be speeding up the chemotherapy, and is what your mother has permitted me to give you. Stay strong, this doesn't hurt."

Forty minutes later

The dropper felt like a blood test, and the chemotherapy was very easy to go through. I just had to lie vertically with pure white lights and very rarely, about twice, a UV ray shone towards my breasts and torso.

After that, I was told to sleep a little bit, just so I don't get dizzy. Alexandria later brought me to the reception, Ava next to me, to sign me out of the hospital. Ava and I were free to go, and the first place we would go, is home.

Ava's POV

During the long ride to our dorm, I asked a lot of questions, and was really excited.

"Okay so, explain everything from when I was forced to leave you."

She explained everything in grave depth, and to be honest, she was happy, but I was horrified. It sounded like she was put through death.

"I salute you! That's amazing." We laughed a lot about it, and it felt good to see her smile again.

"Soniya told me that I can drive again. Which is great news since my mum shipped my car here a few days back." She said, with confidence.

"We have reached our destination." I said with a very GPS-like voice. A little more laughing.

"So, our house is located in the Mulberry street, villa seventeen. It should be right around the corner." I said, pointing to the right.

General POV

When the girls reached their house, Ava stopped the car, grabbing her beige Michael Kors purse and throwing the car keys inside. Emilia opened the car door, her red stiletto heel banging agains the hard concrete floors. She took the keys to the villa out of her black Gucci tote bag and walked pass the rocks that surrounded their villa.

The house was grand, way more vast than they'd expected. The first floor contained the living room, with big off-white sofas and a white table, while the kitchen had brown cupboards with cocoa-coloured handles. The gas was ordinary, nothing special, oh, but the garden! The garden was the best part of the first floor. As the girls looked around, they stumbled across the garden door. Big and white. Passing through that door, they could see the greenest grass ever, with a pathway of stones, Leading to a great pearl fountain and mini bird bath. Near the fountain, a streak of colours blinded them. A row of roses, red like blood, posies in pink and purple, petunias and primroses, daphodils and hydrangeas. Apple trees and banana trees along with grape tees grew in a bunch, bringing an aroma of sweetness around the backyard.

This was like heaven. The girls entered the house again, looking around for a staircase. The spiraling staircase was black with neon blue lights coming from under it. The second floor consists of two bedrooms, none of them with any furniture.

The girls spent the next two days going shopping for paints and furniture for their bedrooms.

Emilia was going for walls the colour of a Tiffany box, while Ava was going for a little more purple. Furniture would be white, they decided.

In a weeks time, the bedrooms were ready.

Present day

Emilia's POV

Today, school starts. Our college isn't very far from our house. Around fifteen minutes away.

"Ava! We'll take separate cars today! I wanna stop by a gas station and get some more lunch. Im buying cereal for breakfast, and maybe some granola. If you want to come, then we'll use my car." I yelled from my bedroom to the kitchen, where Ava was scouting for breakfast and possibly some grilled cheese.

"Fine. I'll come. But on one condition. We're getting grilled cheese from the gas station and I'm getting us some Starbucks." Yes, this girl loves Starbucks, which is why we're friends.

My reply was simple. "K."
