Chapter 9

Lottie pov-

After we finished chatting Ell dropped me home.

"Thanks for the amazing evening" I smiled

"No problem" he smiled in return.

He stood looking at me silently in the door way

"You okay?" I asked

"Erm yeah. Sorry"

"Do you want to come in?"

As I said that whiskers appeared and rubbed up against his leg

"I think the cat decided for you" I laughed as he picked him up and stroked him.

"Do you want a drink?" I asked

Ellington followed me to the kitchen still holding the cat.

"Just something cold please" he smiled

I grabbed 2 cans of coke and took them to the lounge

"What time is it?" I asked and Ellington glanced at his watch

"9:50"

"Okay thanks"

The cat jumped out his arms and he settled back into the sofa

"So... Ross and Eliza. How long they been together for?" I asked making conversation

"About 3years now" Ell smiled

"Wow. They must be a really good couple"

"Yeah they are"

There was a short silence until Ell suddenly said

"So what about you. Anyone special?"

I shook my head and looked down

"Nope. And there never actually has been. Pathetic I know"

"That's not pathetic. That's sweet" he said giving me a hug "I've only had like 2 girlfriends and I'm 20"

I looked up and gave him a smile

"I guess but all throughout childhood my best friends all got with someone and I eventually lost them all" I sighed "now look where I am"

" you've got me now right?" He looked slightly worried waiting for my answer

"Of course. Just don't get a girlfriend and ditch me" I laughed

"Wouldn't dream of it" he smiled

I reached over and grabbed my can of coke and the remote

"So what do you like to watch?" I asked

"Nothing in particular" ell replied "that one about that girl. Yeah I like that one" he laughed

"Very helpful Ell" I laughed back.

I put it onto 'you've been framed' and we sat and watched making ouchs at the painful looking ones and laughing together.

I suddenly felt him look at me

"You okay?" I questioned turning to look at him

"Yeah. Just thinking" he replied

"About..?"

"Nothing in particular"

We both then looked back at the screen as a box full of puppies came up

"Awwwwwwwww!" We chorused then laughed

"So in sync" I smiled

*11 pm*

Ells phone rang in his pocket and he answered it

"Hello?" He answered "shut up. I don't know when il be back. Okay I will. Fine. Bye" was all I got.

"Who was that?" I said intrigued

"Just Ross" he smiled "wanted to know when id be back"

"Oh okay. You can crash here for the night if you don't need to be anywhere tomorrow?" I offered

"No it's okay. I don't want to interfere" he smiled

"Interfere? With what?? I don't exactly live an interesting life do i?" I laughed

"I meant like get in your way"

"Nah it'd actually be quite nice to have someone stay over to be honest. Haven't had anyone round here for a while"

"Il stay then. Let me tell Ross"

He took his phone out and texted Ross while I got the spare bed sorted

"Do you need some help?" He asked from the door and I shook my head

"It's done now" I smiled "il be back in a sec"

I walked off into my room and shut the door. I put my pyjamas on and my hair into a loose plait like I always did before walking out the bedroom

"Do you mind if I head to bed?" I yawned "TVs there if you want it and just wake me up if you need anything"

"Okay. Night" Ellington replied disappearing into his room "night!" I called back.

I got into my bed and as soon as I hit the pillow I was asleep.
