It's the Halloween feast and all are there. All but three.
"Do you know where the girls are?" Harry asks... anyone.
"One of the Patil twins said that they heard crying coming from the girls bathroom and they wouldn't come out all day." Neville says, slightly accusingly.
Harry just glares at Ron, who responds with a sheepish smile. He's about to answer when.....
"A TROLL IN THE DUNGEON, TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!!!" The doors of the Great Hall fly open and Professer Quirrel comes sprinting in. "Thought you ought to know." He mumbles dazedly, before just collapsing in a heap on the floor. Pathetic.
Soon screams are echoing around the Great Hall and Dumbledore somehow manages to get them all to shut up. "Prefects will lead their houses to the common room whilst some of the staff will accompany me to the dungeons."

Percy, being his usual twatty and bossy self, is shouting and ordering everyone to keep close and "keep up". It takes about 5 minutes for Harry to finally realise that the three girls haven't heard this news and have to be warned.
"Ron! The girls! They don't know!"

Ellie is sat in the cubicle with Hermione, desperately attempting to console the poor girl. Poppy, on the other hand, is leant against the doorway, becoming rather impatient.
"Mione, we can't stay in here forever," Ellie laughs, causing Hermione to chuckle slightly. "C'mon."
"Alright, fine." She says, Ellie helping her up.
"It's about time!" Poppy rolls her eyes, only causing the two girls to laugh more. Just as they exit the cubicle, Ellie pushes Hermione back inside, then dragging Poppy in with them, locking the door.
"What the hell was that?!" Poppy exclaims, looking as if she'd seen a ghost.
"It was a troll!" Ellie says, fearing for her and her friends' lives.
"What?! A troll?! What are we going to do?!" Hermione panics. Just as she says this, a deafening crash makes them jump out of their skin. The troll had smashed the cubicle with its huge club, the wood splintering and breaking. The girls scream, ducking and covering their heads.
"Guys! Move!" A familiar voice warns, and the girls roll over underneath the sinks, barely missing the troll's wrath. The troll strikes again, this time causing one of the sinks to cave in, trapping Poppy's leg underneath it. She cries out in agony.
"Harry! Ron!" Ellie exclaims, overjoyed. "We'll be alright, Pops."
"Don't worry! We've got you!" Harry reassures, but there is fear swimming in his green eyes.
The troll, without warning, grabs ahold of Harry's ankle, swinging him upwards and holding him suspended in the air, upside down.
"HARRY!" Ron cries, sounding even more terrified than the girls.
"Ron! Do something! Anything!" Harry shouts, the troll flailing him up and down.
"Ron! Hurry up, you stupid great prat!" Poppy yells impatiently.
"Yeah, that would help!" Ellie chimes in, patting Poppy's shoulder to hopefully make her less angry.
Suddenly, a flicker of determination flashes in Ron's eyes, and he readies his wand.
"Ron! Remember! Swish and flick!" Hermione yells to him, demonstrating the movement with her empty hand. He nods, and looks at the troll fiercely.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He shouts, causing the troll's club to levitate out of its hand and float above its head. It follows the club with its eyes, looking perplexed. Ron then releases the spell, making the club drop onto the troll's head, sending it falling to the floor, dropping Harry in the process.
"Ron! You did it!" Ellie yells, standing up from underneath the sink. Unfortunately, she gets up just a moment too quickly, as the club that had just knocked out their enemy falls the rest of the way to the ground, hitting her right on the top of the head.
"Ellie!" Hermione cries, running to the girl's side. Ellie is lying on the floor, cradling her head with tears brimming in her eyes.
"Are you ok?!" Poppy asks from underneath the sink, as her leg is still trapped. Ellie nods with a weak and croaky laugh.
"Trust me to get hurt after the thing that tries to kill us is gone!" She rolls her eyes, seeming like her usual bubbly and humorous self despite the pain.
This causes Poppy to laugh, then Ellie laughs as well, and soon enough both of them are cackling hysterically like maniacs, earning a slightly scared look from Ron, Harry and Hermione.

A few hours later, Ellie and Poppy are sat in the hospital wing. Poppy has her badly bruised leg propped up on a cushion, and Ellie has a bandage wrapped around her head, covering one eye.
"Poppy, I'm a pirate!" Ellie exclaims, making a hook with her finger and baring her teeth.
"That's a pirate impression, is it?" Poppy asks, an amused smirk on her face.
"Yes! Don't make fun of your Captain, peasant!" She demands, Poppy laughing at the girl's terrible jokes. As she says this, the large doors to the hospital wing burst open, revealing two familiar identical gingers.
"Ellie! Poppy!" They exclaim in unison, George hugging Ellie briefly and Fred doing the same with Poppy. They then switch around. George envelops Poppy in a crushing hug, the same happening with Ellie and Fred. The girls hug back tightly, smiling into the crooks of the twins' necks. The girls look at each other over the boys' shoulders, and neither of them can hide the faint blushes that appear on their cheeks. There will definitely be some teasing later on.
"You scared us so much, girls." Fred says, his face buried in Ellie's hair.
"Why?" Poppy sniggers.
"Why? Because late in the night we find out that our best friends are in the hospital wing because of an accident with a bloody troll! That's why, Poppy!" George exclaims dramatically, tightening his grip on the girl and stroking her hair comfortingly. It was a small and simple gesture, but it made Poppy's heart skip a beat.
"Freddie, what are you doing?" Ellie laughs.
"Smelling." He says, his nose deep in Ellie's dirty blonde locks.
"Smelling?" She laughs even more at the strange action.
"Yeah. You smell nice. You smell like apples."
"Thanks?" Ellie says, chuckling.
"What a hopeless romantic you are, Fred." Poppy says sarcastically, making Ellie laugh nervously.
"Ok, well enough of that," George says. "What actually happened to the two of you?"
The girls explain about Hermione in the girls' bathroom and how the troll had gotten in. They told them about the sink being crushed into Poppy's leg, and Ellie's head injury being from a rather pathetic encounter with the troll's club. This made Fred laugh.
"So you were in a life-threatening situation, and you get hurt after the troll was gone?" He giggles, earning a mocking glare from Ellie.
"Yes! Stop laughing!" She exclaims, laughing herself.
"Oh my god, you should've seen her earlier. Madam Pomfrey gave her this potion to help with her head, and it made her go totally loopy!" Poppy says.
"What?" George says, trying to stop the laugh that escapes his lips.
"What did you say Ellie, hm?" Poppy teases.
"I asked her how rubber ducks are born..." Ellie says, hanging her head to hide the grin on her face. This caused the three to burst into laughter again. George puts an arm around Poppy as they laugh, and Poppy blushes slightly yet again. Ellie sees this, and gives Poppy a look as if to say enjoying that, are we? Poppy merely deadpans at her friend's teasing. Oh, there will be plenty of teasing later on.
