Despite it being a tight call, the group of four had made it onto the train and found Fred and George's usual compartment as the train left the station, leaving the stone walls behind for beautiful rolling green hills. Poppy and Ellie assumed that Harry was on the train but they were not bothered enough to leave their conversation to find out.

"So, you're first years then?" Fred asked. He sat next to the window with his back to the direction the train was travelling in, George right next to him. Poppy sat leaning against the window opposite Fred and Ellie had her feet up, back leaning against the wall next to the door. Five minutes after they had set off, the group had been joined by another boy by the name of Lee Jordan, who the girls learned was the twins' best friend. He, like the twins, enjoyed a good laugh but his slightly dread locked hair and brown skin made him stand out more against the others. Something the two girls respected - they'd never felt comfortable standing out against the crowd, particularly Ellie.

Ellie nodded, "Yeah. It's gonna be great." Poppy agreed with her.

"Excited then?" George asked with a chuckle. Again, the girls nodded enthusiastically. "Woah! Are you two metamorphagus'?!" His eyes widened, as did Fred's and Lee's. Ellie and Poppy exchanged a confused look, which soon turned to shock.

"Ellie! Your hair is yellow!"

"So is yours!" The trio chuckled at the two panicked girls.

"Don't worry, you're not mental or anything. You're metamorphagus'." Fred said.

"Believe it or not, Fred dearest, that is not the slightest bit comforting." Ellie said.

"It means you can change your appearance at will. You have to learn to control it first, of course." George explained.

"Yeah. Until you learn, your hair and eye colour will usually change with your mood." Fred finished. "Right now, your hair's yellow. That means you're excited... I think. I can't say I'm an expert on colour changing hair." He trailed off.

"Yeah." Lee piped up. "Blue is sadness, red is anger, green is confusion, brown is disappointment, black is seriousness, pink is embarrassment, white is fear and deep purple..." Lee says, "....is in loooooove." He wiggled his eyebrows, causing the girls to laugh but that laughter soon stop as the train shuddered to a halt.

"Oh, bugger, we'd better get changed." Said Fred. The girls nodded, and the boys started to strip down right in front of them.

"Guys!" They shrieked at the same time.

"What!? We don't have time to waste!" George said.

"Fair enough." Poppy shrugged, and the girls averted their gaze.

"Your turn." Fred smirked.

"Turn around right now, you prat." Ellie scolded, and the boys turned. The girls quickly got changed into their uniforms, Poppy's being ever so slightly too big causing her to tie her skirt with the spare hair bobble that was originally on her wrist.

"Right, let's go." Lee urged, and they all bolted for the lake. When they got there, all of the boats were already halfway across, none left at the shore.

"Oh, this is just BLOODY brilliant!" Poppy exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air dramatically.

"Fear not, fair maiden!" George shouted, pumping one fist into the air.

"You lovely ladies can ride in our carriages! Away!" Fred finished, grabbing Ellie's wrist and George grabbing Poppy's. They darted off in another direction, hoping to find said carriages.

"We have arrived!" Lee cheered, hoisting himself onto the last carriage. Fred and George did the same, helping each of the girls up. The carriage began to move, seemingly on its own towards the magnificent castle.

"Ladies, you'd better prepare yourselves." Fred started.

"We're not gonna sugar-coat it. McGonagall is going to bite your heads off when we show up late, especially 'cuz it's your first day." George explained, only making the girls more nervous, their eyes turning an odd shade of white.

"But you'll be fine." Lee finished, smirking at the girls.

"Geez, thanks Lee that really helps." Poppy said, sarcasm lacing every word which earned a laugh from Ellie. The carriage came to a standstill, and they all got out, Poppy and Ellie now less than eager to enter the castle. They walked up the stone steps, and they couldn't help but gasp in awe at their tremendous surroundings. Soon, they came to a huge set of doors, with intricate patterns engraved into them. There was a stern looking woman stood in front of them, and she looked less than happy.

"Ah, there you are. So good of you all to grace us with your presence." She said sarcastically, her lips pressed in a thin line. "Weasley's, Mr Jordan, you go on in, I'll have to deal with you later. Girls, stay out here a moment." The boys did as commanded, but turned around to give the girls a reassuring smile and a thumbs up before disappearing behind the heavy doors. "It was extremely irresponsible of you both to be this late. And on your first day!" She scolded, eyeing the girls coldly. Their hair turned completely white, making the woman's gaze soften slightly. "That is a wonderful gift you girls possess. I assume you can't control it yet?" She asked, and they shook their heads. "Alright. My name is Professor McGonagall. Follow me and you will be sorted into your houses, if a little late." She turned on her heel and pushed the hefty doors wide open, revealing an incredible hall with towering stone walls and tall stained glass windows. There were four long tables in the room, each with students wearing a different colour. On one table, the students were wearing green, on another they were wearing blue, another yellow, and another red - where Fred, George, Lee, Ron and Harry were all sat. "Apologies, everyone. These girls were late and still need sorting into their houses." McGonagall announced, causing every single pair of eyes to turn to them, boring into their skulls. Ellie and Poppy could feel their cheeks heat up, and they noticed their hair turning a pastel pink. This seemed to capture the crowd's attention even more, and voices echoed around the halls, saying things like 'they're metamorphagus'?' And 'wow, I've never seen one in person'. "Follow me, girls." Said McGonagall, and she lead them to the front of the hall, where a manky looking hat sat on a stool. Upon closer inspection, the girls noticed that the hat has a wrinkled face, and it looks rather grumpy. "Eleanor Persephone. Sit down, and I will place the sorting hat on your head, and it will determine your house. The houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." With a deep breath, Ellie sat on the hard wooden stool, and she felt the hat being placed on her head.

"Hmm, this is a smart one. Brave as well, and loyal. And I can see you have a bit of a mouth on you, as well, correct?" The hat fell silent for a moment. "Ah... better be GRYFFINDOR!" The red table erupted into applause, and Ellie was glad to see that she was with her friends, but a nervous pang remained at the pit of her stomach as she sits between Fred and George awaiting Poppy's decision. McGonagall placed the hat on Poppy's head. "Ooh, another hard one. This one's very courageous as well, very loyal, hardworking. Takes after her father I imagine. Doesn't mind voicing her opinion, I can tell." It spoke.

"Hey!" Poppy yells, only causing the hat to smirk triumphantly.

"Told you. Now, I know just what to do with you. GRYFFINDOR!" The Gryffindor table erupted into more applause, Ellie shouting and cheering for her best friend. Poppy took a seat in between Ellie and George, smiling in relief at the outcome of the situation. The twins smiled at them fondly.

"Welcome to Hogwarts, ladies."
