Audrey's POV

What are you supposed to wear to a date?

It's been a very long time since I've been on a date with a woman so I have no idea what I was going to wear.

I wanted to impress her. She was my mate after all. She just didn't know it.

As soon as she kissed me on the cheek, I felt the spark ignite between us. That was a clear distinct sign that she was indeed my mate.

I wasn't really shocked and I most definitely wasn't upset but I was nervous.

It's rare that I got nervous but now that I knew Clara was my mate, this wasn't just a normal date.

It's not like I could just tell her that we were mates. I wanted her to discover it for herself. I also didn't want that to effect the relationship that we were starting to develop. At the moment, she seems to like me for who I am as a person, despite the fact that I'm a vampire. I didn't want the mate bond to effect that.

It was five-thirty in the afternoon, so I had an hour and a half before I had to go pick up Clara from her house. She had texted me her address so there was no reason for me to be late.

I had decided to take her bowling. It sounded simple but she mentioned over lunch yesterday that she didn't know how to bowl. This was a perfect opportunity to teach her and get closer to her in the process.

After bowling, we would take a walk through Veranda Pass. It was basically a street that was lit with an array of colours throughout the night. It was a beautiful sight to see and I was hoping it would set the tone for the night.

I had also reserved us a table at Hercules. It was a very prestigious place that has hosted the Kings and Queens of the supernatural world. It was most definitely a no reservation, no entry establishment. Luckily the owner owed me a favour so Clara and I, will be dining for free tonight, not that I would've minded paying for us anyway.

We would finish the night by me hopefully escorting her home and sharing a kiss at the end. That's if the night went well. I'd just have to see where the night would take us.

I decided to go with a white backless top and black leather jacket. Paired with my black leather trousers and black high heels.

I told Clara to dress casual but a formal casual. Casual enough to go bowling but formal enough to go to Hercules afterwards. I was excited to see what she chose to wear.

When I was confident that I looked okay and my hair was exactly the way I wanted it, I started to make my way towards Clara's house. I decided to give her a call during the drive. Luckily she answered after three rings,

"Good evening sexy bartender." She answered, a slight seductive tone to her voice. I groaned,

"Must you answer the phone like that every time I call?"

She laughed, "It's fun. I always get a reaction out of you."

Could she ever not make me smile? Just the sound of her voice and her laugh was enough to put a smile on my face,

"I can't help it. You're like a little seductress."

"Unintentional." She chuckled.

I made a right turn and continued driving straight, "I'm roughly two minutes away from your house. Are you ready?"

She hummed out a reply, "I am. You know I'm always ready for you."

I smiled and shook my head, "You're surprisingly playful tonight. Anything I should know about?"
