Audrey's POV

A part of me always wondered what it would be like to wake up in the morning beside my mate. I had run all the possible scenarios through my head from when I was a little girl. None of those scenarios even come close to how amazing the feeling was.

I didn't want to sound creepy or anything but Clara looked so cute when she was asleep. Not in a I-watch-you-while-you're-sleeping kind of way, but in more of a, I-just-happened-to-wake-up-first way.

Another thing I found throughout the night was that she was quite a mover. She tended to move around a hell of a lot when she slept. Usually I wouldn't have minded, but she also tended to move her hands and legs around as well and for a vampire who hasn't had a companion in over five years... well, I don't think I need to elaborate any further.

I gently ran a hand through her hair, which made her stir slightly. She didn't wake up though, which is good. A main part of me just wanted to make sure that she was still here and I didn't just dream up last night.

Would it be cheesy if I made her breakfast?

To be honest, I was going back to Vichering Castle in a month. I could potentially die if I got to the last challenge and didn't win. It wouldn't be so bad of me if I wanted to make the most of the time that I had with Clara.

We could potentially only be with each other for a little over a month now. Although that thought just pushes me to try harder to win.

I wasn't a quitter, so when Queen Julianna explained to me what was going on, I didn't even hesitate to agree. A Sullivan never backs down.

Standing up from the bed, I stretched quietly as I witnessed Clara hug my pillow close to her. Would it be mean if I took a picture?

That would be creepy right? Yeah I'm not going to do that without her permission.

Putting the picture aside, I walked out of the room and made my way downstairs. As a vampire, we were naturally cold because we no longer had our own source of blood running through us. Even though I was wearing a shirt and shorts and it was about twelve degrees outside, I didn't actually feel cold.

I proceeded to make breakfast while listening to some music. I couldn't describe how good my mood was today. I knew I had to go back to work a bit later but that definitely wasn't going to ruin my mood, not when I knew I could potentially go and see Clara after. That was enough reason to keep my mood going all day.

It was roughly half an hour after I woke up, that I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. If my smile wasn't big enough already, it was even bigger right now,

"Good morning."

She hummed in content, "Am I seeing the definition of a housewife?"

I laughed and turned around to face her, "I prefer the words sexy girlfriend."

She raised an eyebrow at me, "Girlfriend? I don't remember either one of us asking the other."

"Are we seriously going to do this? I thought it was obvious."

She shrugged, "Well, I mean, if you don't want me to be your girlfriend that's fine by me."

As she went to walk away, I grabbed her wrist and turned her back to face me, "You know that's not true. Although, I don't think here is the right setting for me to ask you so how about we just pretend we're dating until I actually do ask."
