Audrey's POV

I woke up from the best sleep I've had in a long time. I looked over to my right to see the girl of my dreams, snuggled into her pillow in the most unglamorous, yet incredibly adorable way. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I slowly reached out and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, exposing her face to me.

I could just stay like this all day, but as it happens, reality always finds a way to knock at the door.

Clara stirred as the knock echoed through the room and a low groan escaped my lips as I got up to answer the door. I thought to myself, 'If this person has woken Clara up, I will not be responsible for what happens.'

When I opened the door, a little maid was standing there with a cart full of food. With an unamused expression, I opened the door a little bit more and allowed the maid to wheel the cart in. She wheeled the cart next to the table and bowed to me before exiting the room, closing the door behind her.

Looking at the food, I tried to remember when I even ordered this, or was it part of the competition?

The door to the bathroom opened behind me and I turned around to see Clara walk out with her blue silk robe on. When did she even get out of bed?

"Is that the food I ordered?" She asked softly yet curiously. I couldn't help but smile over at her and nod,

"It seems so. I was wondering where this came from."

She smiled and lifted the lid off one of the silver trays, revealing a stack of pancakes,

"I ordered it in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep and I really wanted pancakes but it was too early. So, I decided to order it for this morning instead. I ordered you a full English, minus the black pudding and fried tomatoes."

I gave her a kiss on the cheek, "Thank you sweetheart."

We both grabbed our plates and sat down on the bed to eat our breakfast. It was silent, but not in an uncomfortable way.

I was just thinking about what the next challenge was going to be. If it was anything like the last one, I was not looking forward to it in the slightest.

It was frustrating though because I was only one that remembered what happened. There was no way I was going to tell her either. No doubt would she feel guilty for the things she said and I didn't want her to feel like that. What she said wasn't her and I knew that. I just had to learn to forget about it and move on.

Once we both finished our food, I called a maid to clear out the plates and Clara and I proceeded to get ready for the day.

I didn't know what to do though. It was like we were both just waiting in anticipation for the next challenge and we didn't know where to go from here

"Audrey!" Clara shouted out. I finished brushing my teeth before peering my head around the door to look at her,

"Yes?"

She held a single envelope in her hand, "From Queen Julianna."

I sighed and closed my eyes briefly, knowing exactly what it was about, "I'll be right out."

She hummed and I proceeded to finish getting ready. It only took about five minutes but it felt like forever. The only thing on my mind was the envelope.

I walked back into the bedroom and sat down on the bed next to Clara. She handed me the envelope and I wasted no time in ripping it open. I looked over the Dranthoven Crest before I read aloud,
