...great are the Alexanders,
eager, greening
conquering unkempt inland lawns(hedgerows sugar-plum fairy)
and on marsh edge parading
both sides of sea-bank
a monopoly for the odd black bee... a-shale a-slate sedate
the many ledges
a-grace, lace ruffle over
corded sun sauntering lines
shimmer ripple tines
flagella over
amber sand wriggling
sun-tint wrinkle over
molded sea-print...word-slips
too crisp, sink dulling,
swash again, petty
sententious -breathe -
contentious - listen -
hush then, hush now, hushthrough tinnitus
the curlew curl you
coy-coiled distance -nine tenths of consciousness
gulls, terns
redshank, avocet..............
Homage to James Joyce prose.
