opening peeping swan-cupped wings,
felt purple hearts, stamens within,
protected from the spring wind's bite.The pear tree bares a blossom white -
wide petals, freckled with the black
stamens that dusted bee's furred back -
all clotted cream in gold sunlight.Wild amber bees, black bumble bees,
those hover flies in bee disguise,
and, wysiwyg - plain honest flies -
all schedule April's nectared trees.I've been away - long sighs of wheels -
but here, all care pear-blossom steals........................
The term 'wysiwyg' is an acronym for 'what you see is what you get', minted in the 80's re computing and word-processing.
