Similar room.

Familiar bed.

He looked around and found himself sitting at the corner, familiar toys scattered around him.

He looked up and saw the door creek open, his eyes widened as his heart beats became rapid. It was his mother and his father, the people he used to believe that cared for him. The people whom he believed were the ones that helped him have his voice back again.

"M-Mom." He said, his voice tiny.

Like a child.

"Jimin-ah, I'm sorry." The lady said as she engulfed him into a tight hug, and instead of feeling the warmth he used to felt.

He felt suffocated.

"No! I don't want to come with her! I'm staying with you!" He shouted when he saw the lady standing by at the door of his bed room. He tried back out, but the coldness of the wall behind him stopped him from doing so. His mother reached out for him, caressed his tear stained face and cried even harder.

"She will take care of you." She said and Jimin hugged his mother tightly by the neck not wanting to go. "No!" He shouted but soon, his small arms was removed from the woman's neck and he had no choice but to run outside.

He doesn't want to come to anyone but his parents.

The people who took care of him and not the ones who claims to be his biological ones.

He tripped, and he closed his eyes.

He felt something cold against his face and hands and when he opened his eyes, a big dark room greeted him. The moon light shone through the big doors of the balcony but it didn't calm him like it used to.

"Mom! Dad!" He shouted in panic and the door burst open revealing a man and a woman.

It was not the people he grew to love anymore.

It was the people that took him away from them.

"No! I want to go home!" He bellowed and the man ran towards him and hugged him tight. He tried wiggling out of the man's hold but as a small child he is, he didn't manage to escape.

"Shh, don't cry. Mom and dad's here." The man said in a deep voice that didn't even calmed him down for a bit.

He's never going to get used to it.

Never.

"I want to go home!" He shouted and the man shook his head.

"This is your home now."

And his voice was gone.

"No." Jimin said as he jolted up. He looked around and found himself still inside the guesthouse, at his own bed. He closed his eyes as flashes of memory after the incident played inside his mind.

He was never able to speak again after that. Yes, it might sound exaggerated but he fell into a deep depression after waking up and finding himself in an unfamiliar house, in an unfamiliar room with the people he's never familiar with.

He wasn't able to speak, until he found the courage to do so.

It was already late in his teenage years, but never did it extended to more than ten words if not needed. He also built walls around his heart, as he chose to never trust anyone anymore believing that they will only hurt him in the end.

He barely survived the first pain, and he doesn't know if he can undergo something like that again.

He shook his head, he knew the reason for his nightmare that night.

Chorong.

Am I getting too close to her? He thought.

It always happens when he gets too close to someone, his dreams never get worse for the past years and it was only now that he's beginning to open himself to someone again. His nightmares are the constant reminders of the pain he went through, constant reminders to never trust anyone anymore.

"Good morning!" Chorong greeted cheerfully as soon as she entered the kitchen and frowned when she saw Jimin already eating his breakfast. Halfway done to be exact.

"Why didn't you wait for me?" Chorong asked and Jimin ignored her as he continued to eat like he didn't hear her say something. "Hey, thanks for last night. I passed out on you, I was really tired." Chorong said as she began to eat and Jimin ignored her again.

Chorong furrowed her brows. It's not the Jimin she's with yesterday.

"Is something wrong?" Chorong asked while staring at him. Heaving out a sigh, Jimin pushed himself away from the table and took his plate towards the sink and threw it there before going out of the kitchen leaving Chorong flabbergasted.

"Did I do something wrong?" Chorong asked herself as she continued to eat quickly before running out of the kitchen to find him standing at the living room while looking at his phone.

"Hey." Chorong called. No answer.

"Hey!" Chorong called again, louder this time. "What?" Jimin asked, the same intensity as hers.

"What's wrong with you?" Chorong asked, she can't help but to feel irritated. The past two days, Jimin treated her nicely and now they're back to their old routine. "None of your business." He said before turning his heels away and was about to retreat back to his room when Chorong grabbed his wrist.

He yanked it away hardly making Chorong fall down on the floor, she winced in pain and Jimin saw that. He wanted to help her but as soon as he took a step forward, flashes of his old memories played again.

He stopped. He sighed and he turned away going towards the front door.

Chorong cried.

The sun had already set, the streets grew dark as the lights illuminated it. Jimin walked up the street, his hands inside the pocket of his jacket with the hood thrown over his head. It had been hours after the incident, he felt guilty for pushing Chorong away like that but he was more afraid of the nightmares that will keep on coming back.

No, it occurs every night. What he can't bear are the worst ones.

The ones where he felt like he's suffocating. For real.

Shaking his head, Jimin opened the door and went inside the house only to find it pitch black.

Looking around, Jimin made his way towards his room when he passed by the balcony and heard sobs. And he knew he cannot be mistaken, those sobs are from the person he hurt earlier. He felt guilt gnawing inside of him, it's been hours, has she been crying for that long? He groaned, he blamed himself.

Unknowingly, his feet led him to the balcony and when he stepped out. He saw Chorong sitting at the corner, knees up against her chest, her face buried in between them with her arms around her legs. Her shoulder kept going up and down, constant sobs can be heard.

He sighed. He never felt that guilty.

Screw those dreams. He thought as he walked to her and took a seat beside her, their shoulders touching and he felt Chorong immediately stop crying.

"I..." Jimin trailed not knowing what to say, it was hard for him to apologize. It was like a forbidden word for him, it was like he's bound to never say those words.

"What for? I deserve all that right? For pissing you. For being nosy." Chorong said bitterly knowing what he wanted to say and Jimin sighed as he glanced at her and back to the city lights in front of them.

He felt like he needed to say those words to her, not because it's necessary but because he's done her wrong.

"It's..."

"Cut it. I'm fine." Chorong answered, her face still buried on her knees.

Jimin frowned.

"I'm... sorry."
