I decided I didn't want to be here anymore. "Max I have to go, my mom wants me home" I lied. "Okay. I'll see you later" he said before hugging me. I turned around and walked out before running home. I slipped the key from under the rock and unlocked the door. I ran to the couch and threw myself onto it. I finally let my feelings out and cried. Harvey has been my best friend forever. We finally get together and he flirts with another girl. Am I overreacting? No. My face was stained with tears and my cheeks were hot. I sat up, wiped my face, and pulled out my phone.

I was startled by a soft but quick knock at my front door. I got up and opened it, revealing Harvey. "Yes" I asked leaning against the door. "Look, max told me everything" he said. "Oh" I replied. "Look, I'm so sorry I didn't know me and Lily were getting close. She was a new person and I love new people. We've been best friends for like 12 years and nobody can change the fact that we are still and always will be best friends. Now, I love you, I've had a crush on you for a couple years now. Do you know how hard that was for me, no. Now, I'm not going to waste a couple years of a crush on some girl who I've just met" he explained. I wanted to cry by now, he's so sweet. "And if you won't forgive me I'll be-" I interrupted him by wrapping my arms around him quickly. He hugged me tightly. "So I guess you forgive me" he asked. I nodded. We walked to my couch and sat down for a while.
--------5 years later---------
"Yes mom, I'll call every day, I told you I would, now let me go before I cry" I told my weeping mother. Today I'm going off to college, Harvey and Caroline are coming too. "Max frikin mills, I will miss you so much while you're away" I said hugging him. Max is going on a trip in Germany for a while. We said our last goodbyes and I walked to my matte white Audi r8. I jumped in the drivers seat while Harvey got passenger and Caroline jumped in the back. "And we're off" I said before hitting the gas and driving away.

I pulled up in front of the beautiful brown building. I shut the car off and opened my door. I stepped out and shut my door making sure everyone was out before I locked it. "Wow it's so cool but there's so many kids" Harvey said. "Yeah" I said a bit nervously. I'm very claustrophobic. Large crowds make my anxiety skyrocket. "Hey look it's going to be okay" Caroline said, obviously seeing my panic. "Thanks Care" I said using her nickname 'care'.  "Okay you guys can go find you're dorms" I said wanting them to leave me. They nodded and walked away.
"Hi" I heard and excited voice beam. I turned around and saw a girl with red hair. She had blue eyes and was shorter than me but not by much. She was thin though, maybe a little thicker than me. "Hi" I said back with a smile. "My names Penny" she said with excitement. "I'm Dove" I replied. "Wow that's such a pretty name!" She beamed. She interlocked our arms and pulled me along. We stepped into the cool central air (air conditioning) of the college. Many more kids were in the halls. I looked around at all of the people here, I looked at and looked in every direction. Then, suddenly, someone caught my attention. He was so beautiful. He had brown hair and possibly blue eyes. He was with another boy who was hanging a poster. Wow he's so- my thoughts were interrupted by penny pulling me away. "Come on its the office" she squealed. We walked in and over to a lady at a desk. "Penny wheeler" penny said to the lady. Her name tag read "Linda." She searched through the computer and then handed penny a key. "Dorm 312" she said. "Dove Martin" I said next. She looked through the computer and handed me a key. "Dorm 320" she said with a smile. I thanked her and walked out. We walked over to a building that said '300's' and walked in. I looked around curiously before clumsily bumping into someone. I looked up and saw a girl, about my height. She had deep maroon hair, obviously dyed. "Oh my I'm so sorry" I said. "Entirely my fault... my name is Jessica baring" she replied. "Dove Martin" I smiled. "And this is penny" I said pointing to penny. They smiled at each other. "Dude watch out!" I heard. I felt someone push against me so I turned around. "Zander!" Penny scoffed. "Watch out" she added before slapping him on the arm. "Hey I'm sorry" he said to me. "It's fine" I smiled. "I'm Zander and you are" he asked. "Dove" I replied. He smiled. I glanced past him and saw the boy! The one who was so good looking. "Zander, come on man" he said jogging over. He came up really close and grabbed my arms lightly. He looked down at me and I looked up into his beautiful blue eyes. "Dove, is it?" He asked. I looked away from him. "Yeah" I replied. "You're pretty" he said. "Thank you" I replied feeling my cheeks get hot. "Stop it Ryan" penny warned. "Back up you've only just met her" she added. I pulled away from 'Ryan' and backed up. "Brothers" penny rolled her eyes. Brother? He's so hot.
