Chapter 7

"You look awesome!"

"I look stupid."

Annabeth had just gotten her costume, a gift from Percy, and the latter insisted on a fashion show.

Kid Flash just sat there, blinking between the two, "That is soo creepy."

"Yeah, you two look like almost exact opposites, while looking exactly the same somehow." Artemis inputted, also blinking.

Percy had a dark green suit with light blue markings, while Annabeth had a light gray suit with a dark grey design. They both had their swords hanging on their sides, and a mask. Percy's suit had more all around decor, while Annabeth's was more simple.

"Well we need a name now! First a team name, then a name for Annabeth!" Percy giggled, jumping up and down.

Kid Flash started rattling off suggestions, "Well, for the team, you could do 'The god's daughters' or 'The shadows' or 'Power couple' or-"

He was cut off by Annabeth, who had a mad gleam in her eye, "How about the 'dangerous duo'!"

"Yeah!" Percy said, "We can go from city to city, striking fear in criminals' hearts!"

"But I thought you don't kill?" Megan questioned.

"They don't, I've looked at their record. Plus, the criminals don't know that." Robin inputted, looking up from his hologlove.

"Yeah, and Annabeth could be Wisdom's Daughter!" Kid Flash exclaimed.

"Why that?" Artemis asked, thoroughly confused.

"Because I'm a daughter of Athena." Annabeth stated in a matter-of-factly tone.

"Okay, so that's decided. But do you plan on getting noticed by the public, or do you want to be a secret?" Kaldur asked, slightly nervous by the previous statement.

"Don't worry my mom won't strike you down for talking to me. I'm engaged to Percy. She would be dead if my mom was like that. And no, I will not be seen for a while." The daughter of Athena said, in an attempt to comfort him.

"Why would your mom strike him down? And why would Percy already be dead?" Superboy asked, stopping his train of silence.

"Because Athena hates Posiden, god of the sea, who is Aqualad's patron, and my father." Percy said, snapping out of her own little world.

"So you're Wonder Woman's cousin?" Artemis inquired.

Percy took a moment to think, then adopted a look of absolute terror, while muttering 'She's gonna kill me' over and over again, finally speaking something else, "If she tells Thalia, then I'm going to be dead twice." Her eyes widen more than humanly possible. "Thalia doesn't know your alive! We have to tell her!"

"Too late! You're both dead again." A girl with spiky black hair said, walking into the room.

The team, except from the two demigods, all got into fighting positions.

"Not possible anymore, unfortunately for you, fortunately for us." Annabeth smirks confidently, while simultaneously hiding behind the couch in fright.

"Who are you?" Artemis asked, leveling her bow at the girl in question.

Wonder Woman walks in behind her (What is it with everyone walking in? It's almost like the author has no idea what she's doing :P), answering the young hero's question, "This is my sister Thalia. She heard about Percy and insisted to come try to murder her. By the way, nice to see you Annabeth."

"You have a sister?" Kid Flash asked, somewhat skeptically, "And a seriously hot one at that?"

Thalia adopted a look of absolute hatred and disgust, with anger rolling off in waves, and leveled her own bow at his face, "Care to repeat that boy?!"

"But Thalia, I like this human." Percy whined, fogetting all about her hiding place behind the couch.

"He flirted with an immortal Hunter of Artemis, that is punishable by death." Thalia fumed, while somehow forgetting about the reason she came.

The next move was life or death, and the ball was in Percy's court. So she did what she does best.

Thalia made a mistake. She turned to look at Percy.

Anyone who looks into those baby seal eyes loses all free will, and Thalia looked in the eyes.

"Fine, I won't murder him. But if this happens again, no amount of baby seal eyes will help him from being brutally murdered." Thalia dissapointedly plopped down on the couch, "So who are you guys?"

"Hi! I'm Miss Martain!"

"Kid Flash"

"Robin"

"Superboy"

"Aqualad"

Right before Artemis could say her name, she was interrupted again, but this time by Thalia, and for a different reason, "Wait, are you Aquaman's apprentice? Because he would not shut up about his apprentice at family reunions."

"Um yes, I am. I was not aware he talked about me that much." Kaldur answered, while glancing around to make sure this was not an elaborate prank.

"And I'm Artemis, and don't say anything, the two idiots over there already said everything."

"Hey!" An undignified shout arose from Percabeth.

"Well, since they took my jokes, I guess I'm done here." Thalia said, while starting to walk out with Wonder Woman, "Have you ever listened to AC/DC? I mean, I know you lives on an island, but have you ever..." She walked out of the teams hearing range, but they still watched her incase she decided to turn around and shoot Kid Flash anyways.

"Soo," Wally began, "That was... um... interesting."

"She's your cousin?" Robin asked incredulously.

"Yeah, but you should see Nico when you take Will away from him. That's World War 3 right there." Percy said, getting fully out from behind the couch.

"Will is a girl's name?" Megan asked, trying to grasp Earth concepts.

"No, now that I think about it, there are no more heterosexual children of the big three, now that Jason and Hazel... well, you know." Annabeth said, think for a moment, before completely spacing out.

The team looked to Percy for an answer, but got her spacing out as well.

All of a sudden, the latter of the two started twitching and muttering, while the former snapped out enough to try to comfort the other.

"We're safe, we have friends, we're all right." Annabeth muttered to Percy, "We're with friends, and we're going to be ok."

The team felt honored to be the hero's friends, and knew that they would have a great freindship.to come.
