I Was Lost

•I was lost

Never to be found

All around the dark surrounds

You gave me hope that I could find my way home

But that all turned around

I was left all alone

To pick myself up

That's when I learned how walk on my own

You broke me

Leaving me to pick the pieces up

But that's okay

You gave me strength

To keep pushing through day

The tears that I cry

We're all left behind

I won't let anyone bring me down

Not anymore

You built my wall

Never to be broken again

I won't let anyone in

You taught me independence

Yes you broke me

But you saved me

I know how cruel life is now

Thank you for showing me pain

Thank you for showing me weakness

You knocked me down

But I got right back up

I might not let anyone in

But ill never be hurt again
