Home (Nakajima Atsushi x Reader)

Just to clear some things up:

◇ You and Atsushi are living together.
    - it could be a house or an apartment. You choose.

Today was not a good day.

Your world seemed to be falling apart.

He wasn't home yet.

He was supposed to be home by now.

What happened to him? He should be home by now.

You thought to yourself as you stood not too far from your front door.

"Maybe he's running late," You said to yourself. "I should give him some more time." You sat down on your couch.

A few minutes have passed.

You were starting to get really anxious now.

"Where on Earth is he?"  You said with your voice shaking.

"What happened to him?"  You were clutching your sides at this point.

A few more minutes have passed.

You were getting agitated.

Adrenaline was pumping through your body.

The only thing you were thinking of was him. Along with different scenarios of what could've happened to him.

You wanted him home.

Then a thought popped up in your head.

His phone.

It would most likely be with him. You could track it.

You placed a tracking device on it recently to know where he is all the time.

You could know what happened to him.

You had mental debate on whether you should start tracking him with your laptop, or if you could just have a little more faith on the fact that he'll be home soon; you decided to the former.

The laptop you were using wasn't something you'd want him to see you using as it had been programmed to track down the device on his phone, thus tracking him. You hid it under the floorboards beneath your bed.

After getting it and inputting the password, you could see the location of the target,  Atsushi, along with coordinates and the names of the buildings near him.

He seemed to be taking a different route today.

"That's odd,"  You said to yourself in a hushed voice.

"Why is he taking this route?"

That question was enough to make you your stomach churn with discomfort.

You weren't breathing properly.  Your mind was being flooded with questions, thoughts, ideas, and other things you couldn't comprehend.

You barely even saw it.

Your eyes widened at the sight.

How Atsushi was nearing your house.

He wasn't too far.

He'd be home any minute.

You cursed under your breath as you practically threw your laptop back under the floorboards.

You ran back to your front door. Your heart beating so loud against your chest, and your breathing uneven.

You tried to calm yourself down as you heard him approaching.

It didn't really help as he entered.

"I'm home!" He gleefully said as a smile graced his lips.

"Welcome back! " You replied with just as much cheeriness.

He went over to you, and gave you a warm hug. You returned the hug with your breath now even.

"What took you so long?" You asked, trying not to sound worried.

"Oh. " He let go of you, and handed you a beautiful bouquet of flowers. "I got you these. I hope you like them," He said sheepishly.

"I love them!" You said while taking the bouquet, and hugging him again. "Thank you so much, Atsushi. This means a lot to me."

"You're welcome, [First name]." He returned the hug as he replied.

You let out a sigh of relief.

So that's why.

You thought to yourself as you enjoyed the embrace.

He was safe.

He was where he was supposed to be. In your arms.

He was home.

This was meant to be a Paranoid! Reader x Atsushi.

I'm not sure if this works. But I tried my best.

This was shorter than my previous ones.

I still hope it turned out okay.
