Isabella

"Can't you buy me a plane ticket or something?" I said over the phone. I heard my dad sigh. "Daddy please, I don't want to be here with her. I completely understand why she's upset, but some of the things she said were so unnecessary and it really hurt my feelings. She cussed me out and acted like I wasn't her kid or something. I don't get it."

My dad was quiet for a second before he sighed again. "Bella, baby, are you sure you want to come back? Y'all are supposed to be having a good time." He said.

"But I'm not." I sniffled. The tears always work, so let me work my magic. "I want to come home with you."

"Okay, how about this. See how tomorrow goes, and if you still want to come back I'll buy you a plane ticket to New York." He told me.

"Fine." I agreed. That was reasonable. "But I'll still want to come back."

He chuckled. "Alright Bella. Just try and have fun with your grandmother and aunties. Keep some space between you and your mother, I don't need either of you saying something you'll regret."

"Ok daddy."

"Thank you baby. I'll call you tomorrow okay?"

"Okay."

"I love you, Isabella. Be good." My dad said. I rolled my eyes. I'm always good.

"Ok. I love you too. Bye."

"Bye baby."

I hung up and laid back on my bed. I wasn't sure what to do now. I was still heated with my mom so I needed to keep my distance, but I didn't want to stay holed up in this room. I should at least enjoy my last night in the Bahamas, right?

I sighed. I sat up and sent Solange a text, asking her to come to my room so I didn't have to leave. I wasn't sure who my allies were at the moment but I trusted Solange the most, after my grandmother of course. I think my grandma's still with my mom though, so my options are slim.

A few seconds later Solange opened the door and walked in. She sat on my bed and looked at me, waiting for me to explain. "Is my mom out there?" Was the first thing I asked. I was curious.

Solange shook her head. "Nah, she's been in her room with Blue. You okay?"

I just rolled my eyes. Solange chuckled. "Yeah, I figured by the way mama was yelling at her when they came inside that she said some shit she shouldn't have."

"Yeah, she went off." I said. "Like I completely understand her being upset, but she just flipped. Whatever happened out there, that wasn't my mom. She was acting crazy."

Solange nodded. "That was how she was acting when you were taken." She said.

"Huh?"

"Bella, don't you get it?" I just looked at her confused. Get what? Solange sighed. "Boo, Bey flipped the way she did because she had that same fear that she was about to lose another child. She just had a miscarriage not too long ago, and you were kidnapped. She couldn't lose Blue too."

"Blue's fine though." I said.

"But something could've happened, B. That's the point baby. Beyoncé isn't seeing it as 'Blue is fine.' She's seeing it as 'Blue could have drowned and I would've lost another child.'" Solange explained. My mouth formed a small 'o' because I was starting to understand. "That still doesn't justify Bey's behavior though, don't think that I'm trying to. She was out of line with the things she said."
