Hi! This is the first time I'm writing a fanfic! I hope you guys like it! I sprinkled it up with a little of my imaginations and yeah...

Alex's POV
I was busy braiding my hair in front of a mirror when Uhura came in to the dorm.
"Cadet Uhura, how's your day?" I said it with a smirk on my face.
"Haha. Very funny. My day was okay, Lieutenant." She answered me in a good manner.
I am the youngest in Starfleet Academy to be a Lieutenant, as my father, Captain Christopher Pike raised me here since my mother died. My mother was an alien, a K'normian, and my father was a human. My face looked like an average human, but I am more than that. I can do what K'normians do. I looked at my tattoo which suddenly appeared when my mother died. My father told me that when I lose someone who I loved and cared most, there'll be a mark. I don't know why, I still don't understand it.
"Alex, you ready to go to the bar?" she asked me.
"Yeah, right after I'm done with my braid," I answered.
"You're braid looks fine. Don't worry about it. You look beautiful," she told me.
My communicator beeped and I answered it.
"Alex here,"
"Alex,"
"Oh, dad, what is it?"
"I want you to pick up Commander Spock from Vulcan now."
"Commander who? Is he a Vulcan?"
"He's half Vulcan, half human."
"Oh, dad I'm quite busy right now, I can't go. I promised a friend that I'll go to the bar with her,"
"The promise can wait. I'm busy now so I need you to take my place to pick him up. Please Alex,"
"Okay, fine. I'll pick him up. See you later, dad. I love you."
"I love you too." The communicator went off.
I closed my eyes and whispered, "Dad, I'm gonna kill you."
Uhura heard my whisper and asked, "What happened?"
With a heavy heart I answered her question, "I'm gonna catch up a little late to the bar Uhura,"
"What? Why?"
"I need to pick up a Starfleet Commander from Vulcan and take my dad's place,"
"But you promised..."
"I know. I'm just gonna be late. I promise I'll be there."
"Okay. I'll meet you there! Bye!" she went out of the dorm and left me alone.
I sighed and put my head on the table.
I hated Vulcans. Not because of big thingies but that they always think they're always right. Plus, they don't show their emotions. It's quite hard for me to work with them, but I had no choice. I have to follow my father's orders and head to Vulcan.
I picked myself up and went to a small ship, which is used as an escape shuttle in ships and went straight to Vulcan.
When I arrived there, I was greeted by Sarek, an ambassador of Vulcan.
He was as same age as my father, I think so.
"Welcome to planet Vulcan, Lieutenant Pike. I heard that your father, Captain Christopher Pike cannot be here," he said without showing any emotions, without a smile.
"Yes, sir. He can't be here because he's busy checking on the new ship, the U.S.S Enterpise," I answered with good manners, as I was talking to an Ambassador.
"Fascinating, in other words, you are here to pick up my son, Commander Spock, right?"
Ambassador Sarek was Commander Spock's father? I was surprised.
"Oh, yes sir. I'm here to pick him up."
"Well, you have to meet him first," then he called his name and a tall, pointy-eared man appeared.
Commander Spock does not look like a Vulcan at all. Well, except the ears. And the hair.
Commander Spock came near to me and his father, "Lieutenant Pike, it's a great honor to meet you,"
"It's an honor to meet you too Commander Spock," I answered with a grin.
Then Spock packed up his things while I waited at the shuttle. When he arrived, I helped him with his things and started to drive ourselves back to Earth.
Spock was a quiet person, just as I predicted. So I felt really lonely and thought about how I wasted my time here to pick up a quiet, green-blooded living creature. I was thinking what I would do right now, I could be drinking Slusho Mix with Uhura right now, having a great time with her.
Then suddenly a voice interrupted my thoughts, "I assume to tell you that you are thinking about your friend right now," Commander Spock said.
How did he did that? He read my mind? Then I asked, "I'm curious, how did you do that? That reading my mind thingy?
"I'm a Vulcan, so I can read people's thoughts from everywhere,"
"Wow, I'm impressed,"
"I'm impressed with your powers Lieutenant,"
My powers? What powers?
"Excuse me, to what are you referring?"
"As you are half- K'normian and half-human, you are one of the strongest living creature that ever exsisted,"
What? He's talking rubbish. I'm just a normal being, who has a weird tattoo that can't do anything except taking pulses from people.
"You are greater than who you think you are, you only need to know how to control it," he added, making me feel uncomfortable.
I did not answered his compliments, because I don't know what to say. I felt weird. Strongest living creature? I don't know if I can trust him. I was thinking about what he said until we arrived to Earth.
I landed the shuttle on the landing pad perfectly, just as I was trained. I walked out and then helped Commander Spock again with his things.
"Thank you, Lieutenant Pike, for taking me here and helping with my things," he thanked me without showing me any emotions. Why is he like that? I thought He's half-human. Maybe it's how the parents raised him.
"My pleasure Commander," I quickly left him and went to my motorbike and drove straight to Iowa.
