Alex’s POV
The ship was humongous. It had tails that looked like a giant squid roaming all around the zone. I was ten times bigger than the Enterprise, and it has super-advanced weaponry. Everyone in the bridge gasped in awe as they looked at the ship and the debris of the other star ships on the neutral zone of Vulcan. It was a mess.
“Captain, they’re locking torpedoes,” I told Pike as I hit the buttons on my post. When Pike was about to order, a few torpedoes hit the Enterprise. All of us stumbled as more of them came.
“Sulu, status report!” Pike shouted.
“Shields are at 32 percent. The weapons are powerful, sir. We can’t take another hit!” Sulu reported.
“The Romulan’s ship has some kind of energy that could make a pulse device on the atmosphere. It appear that it is blocking our communications and transporter device abilities,” Spock explained, as Jim and Pike looked at him.
“Prepare to fire all weapons-”
“Captain, we’re being hailed,” Uhura reported to Pike. Suddenly, the screen light up and we saw a Romulan, with tattoos all over his body.
“Hello,” the man on the screen echoed. There was silence in the air, as everyone focused on him.
Pike broke the silence, “I’m Captain Christopher Pike, to whom am I speaking?”
“Hi, Christopher, I’m Nero,” He answered. I could see that Jim was looking at Nero filled with rage and revenge. I went over him and tried to calm him down.
“Hey, cool down,” I told him.
“I’m trying,” his voice sounded harsh, but I knew how he felt. His father was killed by that Romulan. I just stood beside him and looked at the screen.
“You declared war against the federation,” Pike told Nero.
“I do not speak for the Empire. We stand apart. As does your Vulcan crew member, isn’t that right, Spock?” Nero smirked.
Spock stood up from his post as he walked towards Jim and I who were standing right behind the captain’s chair. “Pardon me, I do not believe that you and I are acquainted,” Spock answered, confused. Everyone in the bridge stared at him including Pike
“We’re not, not yet,” Nero explained. What did he meant on ‘not yet’? The thought raced through my mind. Is he from the future?
“Spock, there’s something I would like you to see,” he told Spock. Spock just stood there, looking as confused as us.
“Captain Pike, your transporter has been disabled, as you can see by the resting on your shoulders, it has seen that you have no choice but to come aboard the Nerada for some business,” he added. The screen was off and everyone started to look at Pike.
“Dad, don’t listen to him,” I told Pike.
“He’ll kill you, you know that. Captain, we gain nothing by doing that. Going to that ship is a mistake,” Jim supported me and so as Spock, “I too agree that you should rethink your strategy,”
He ignored us as he stood up as he walked towards the bridge door, “I understand that. I need officer who’ve trained in advanced hand-in-hand combat,”
“I have training, sir,” I raised my hand up as Pike looked at me.
“Not you, Commander. I want you to be on the ship,”
“But-,”
“No buts, Alex. You’re staying here and that’s an order,”
“Yes sir,” I spat out the words.
“Anyone else?”
“Me, sir,” Sulu raised his hands up.
“Come with me,” Pike turned to Jim, “Kirk, you too. You’re not supposed to be on the ship anyway. Chekov, you have the con,” I sighed. I followed them as they walked out of the bridge.
“Dad, don’t do this to me,” I told him as I followed by Jim, Sulu and Spock.
"She's right, sir. You have to think this through," Jim was supporting me.
"I'll be fine, Alex. Don't worry about me," he was lying, I could see it in his eyes.
"You're lying! Dad. please, no,"
"I don't have a choice, Alex. It's my duty to take care of my crewmembers in this ship including you,"
"Fine," I gritted my teeth as I followed the guys.

Kirk's POV
"Without transporters, we can't beam you guys off the ship. Mr. Kirk, Mr. Sulu and Engineer Olsen will space jump off the shuttle. You will land on that machine and destroy it and beam back to the ship," Pike explained to Sulu and me about what were going to do. It was confusing at first, but I was able to understand it.
"Spock, I'm leaving you in command of the Enterprise. Report everything on what the hell was going on," Pike told Spock to be his acting captain for the meantime. I turned to look at Alex. Her face was red, not the Alex that I used to know. I tried to ignore her all along the way and everytime I look at her, I remembered that she cares about me. She was really concerned about me at the bridge just now.
"Mr. Spock, your first officer will Kirk while-"
Spock cut him in."But sir, that would be highly illogical-"
"Spock, that's an order." The pointy-eared alien shut his mouth
As we walked, Pike was still explaining things to Spock and I on our plan to stop Nero from destroying Vulcan. I could see that Alex cooled down as she focused on her father's orders. When we reached the elevator, Pike ordered Alex and Spock to get back to the bridge.
"Take care, dad. Just don't die." her faced tensed as she spoke out.
"I'll be fine, darling. Spock, take care of my girl-and please, don't break the ship. It brand new."
Pike, Sulu, Olsen and me stepped into the elevator and left Spock and Alex at the hallway. When we reached shuttle bay, I suit up aling with Olsen and Sulu and hopped in the shuttle.
So sorry for late update. -AG1-
