Kirk’s POV
When I was in my dorm, I was planning to cheat on Kobayashi Maru. I hacked their system and put in a software that could make it possible to pass that test. Then suddenly, the computer hailed me. Lieutenant Pike called me to meet me at the HQ? Who the hell is it? I only know Captain Pike, not Lieutenant. Well I’ve got to meet him only I know who it is. Maybe it’s his son, whatever. I put up my red uniform and went to the Starfleet headquarters.
I went there and I saw many people. They’re in a meeting with the admiral, talking about a serious matter. Captain Pike was there too. Then the computer hailed me, “James T. Kirk, please have a seat, she will here in a few minutes.
She? I thought it’s a he… Who is she? She must be Pike’s daughter. Seconds later I saw a tall figure, walking towards the office. It was Alex. She’s Pike’s daughter? Why didn’t she tell me?
“Hello Jim,” she sighed with a frustrated look. She must’ve hated me. Guess she had no choice. “Hey, Alex, you did not tell me you were Pike’s daughter,” I told her.
“Ummm.. That doesn’t matter. I wanna discuss something more better,” she said. She is not the girl who I met at the bar before.
“Okay, am I in trouble?” I asked.
“Not exactly. I hate to say this but, you’re promoted,”
“Promoted to be what actually?” I asked.
“First officer of the U.S.S Enterprise, the new starship,” she smiled. “Not bad for a womanizer,” she smirked.
I smiled, “I don’t know what to say…” I said, surprised. I didn’t know what to do.
“Well you can start by not sleeping with other girls,” she told me. I smirked at her. She laughed. That’s the first time I saw her laugh in front of me before at the bar. She looked beautiful, beautiful than other girls who I met.
“Jim, I’m talking to you…” she called me, “What are you thinking about?”
“Oh nothing,” I changed the subject, “So, you never gave an answer when I asked you out for a date,” I smirked.
“You told me if you pass the Kobayashi Maru, then I’ll date you. Just for once. You’re not afraid to embarrass yourself, huh?” She asked.
“What if I pass?” she was silent, don’t know what to tell.
“Okay, okay, we’ll go, gosh, you’re hard…” she said, frustrated. I smirked.
“See you tomorrow Lieutenant,” I smiled.
“See you tomorrow cadet,” she grinned.
And just like that I went out and screamed, “Yes! I’ve got a date! Woohooo!” I was so happy and excited. I got a date (if I pass the test) and got a promotion to be the first officer of the Enterprise. That was the best day of my life. Now I just have to focus on my exam tomorrow.
Alex’s POV
I’ve never seen a guy really happy. Jim just can’t stop smiling after he got the promotion and a date. Which is me. I don’t actually know why did I say yes just now. I knew he was different. He’s just more than a club rat and a womanizer.
