I shut the door to my house following my mother to the car. The cold breeze makes us shiver beneath our coats. I try my hardest to sprint to the car, Joseph unlocks the car doors as we yell at him to hurry up. He is the last one to close the house door. "Fuck it's cold!" He hisses through his teeth as we gather inside the car. My fingers feel nonexistent as I place them over my mouth blowing over them. My hot breath bringing them slowly back to feeling.

My mom turns the heater on, "Okay, so we are dropping Lexi off, then going to buy a turkey." She tells Joseph as he buckles up in the passenger seat.

He wiggles in his seat, rubbing his arms to warm up. "The more you move, the more cold you are going to get." I say nicely.

Joseph turns around as my mother starts to drive. "Thanks smartypants." He snorts as my mother calls for his attention.

I roll my eyes turning my attention to my bag. My pointes have a knot in the laces. I huff ignoring my mother and Joseph as I try to untangle them. It's no use. My nails tug the laces, but it won't come out.

Joseph adjusts his seat, making it back into my knee. I hit his seat, "Joseph."

He laughs, and my mother yells at him, "Joseph, be considerate. She just got her knee brace off." Yesterday I went to see my doctor, he said it's about time for my knee brace to come off for temporary purposes. I have to wear it at night though. It's just for my leg muscles to relax. That means no more wobbling around anymore.

Although my doctor said there will be times when my knee won't be able to handle weight, so I should always count on the brace to help out. I rub my knee, the skin still feels tender. I sit back leaning my head against the seat.

"How you doing?" My mother asks smiling at me through the rear view mirror.

"Nervous." I admit. I was extremely nervous, I was going to be able to dance again, give a hundred percent. No more sitting on the sidelines watching. I haven't told anyone I got my brace off, I want it to be a surprise. I know for a fact that Daisy wouldn't like it, and that Mrs. Styles would be very pleased. But I felt horrified to see Harry.

I couldn't sleep last night, or any other nights knowing sooner or later I'd have to face him. My dreams were invaded by him, he was like a dream catcher. Other than that I was excited. Los Angeles called and told me I was no longer on the waiting list. I was in.

Since then, Mrs.Styles changed practice to later in the night to avoid run ins with the constructors. She instructed us to dress warmly due to the weather in November. Perhaps practice at night was better, no more Saturday and Sunday morning traffic. And a mighty chance of not seeing Harry.

My mother pulled up in the front. "Okay girlie." My insides felt like a blender. I was so mortified to go up there alone.

I bit the inside of my cheek, putting my things back in my bag. Joseph sighs anxiously "Anyday Lexi."

My mother glares at him, "Why can't you ever be nice to her."

I open the door. The air blows softly making me squirm. "Alright who is picking me up." I ask. My mother glances at Joseph, "I work nightshift. So Joseph will you do the honor?"

Joseph groans, "I was going out with the boys?" I know Joseph rather hang with his friends than to babysit me. But ever since he hurt his hand, his friends haven't been over to visit him.
