'Why's he been so close to lately...?' He thought as he was almost asleep, The sheriffs warm hands resting on top of Daryl's. 'I mean, were always close but...not this close.' He was really confused 'well y'know I don't mind him holding my hand n stuff..I well..I kinda like it?' He spoke to himself in his mind 'and why am I so nervous?....it's not like ricks a stranger, I mean, I've known him since almost the start...' Dixon smiled of the thought of the first time they met.

"Daryl....DAAryl." The archer quickly snapped out of his thought when he heard Ricks soft voice, then Daryl realized that his eyes were already open, staring at rick. The man quickly sat up blushing "mm?" He said in response 'shit, how long was I staring at him for?' He thought to himself, Then The sheriff spoke again "whatcha daydreamin' 'bout?" He chuckled, Daryl's face was red "nothin'....jus' thinkin" he lied as he felt his face heat up. "Alright then." Grimes smiled, he gazed into Daryl's deep blue eyes. After a minute of gazing Daryl decided to break the moment by looking out the window. Thinking he's making things awkward for Daryl , Rick takes his hand off of Daryl's to start the car. 'Shit I'm making him feel weird' the sheriff thought to himself as he blushed from embarrassment. the archer then looks at rick with an -I'm sorry- face 'did I make him feel weird? I didn't want him to stop holding my hand but...am I being creepy?' The man in the drivers seat looked back at Daryl for a quick second then looked back at the empty road almost in the dark, and continued to drive.

The car was silent, it was dark now, the only sound heard was the sounds of the car driving, every once in a while going over a small bump. Daryl was extremely nervous this whole time, he kept changing the way he sat every 2 minutes. Before it got too quiet, "what did they do to you?" Said a soft voice "mm?" The redneck responded confused, he always said that when he was confused, he never used too many words much, he's a quiet person. "The saviors, when they took you, did...did they hurt you." He looked at Daryl with worry in his eye, not wanting to worry the man more "n-nothin'-....really...I-" His gruff voice lied, Grimes knew when Daryl was lying "Daryl." He spoke, the man looked up at Rick, he was staring into Dixon's sad eyes with deep worry...'why does he care so much?' Daryl thought as The man looked down at his feet in guilt that Rick knew he was lying. "I'm fine." He stated, he really didn't want Rick to feel sorry, 'he doesn't need too, he shouldn't worry.' He thought to himself. "I know you're not." The sheriff informed. Daryl said nothing, not knowing what to say next. He looked up at Rick, then he looked out at the road, His eyes widened with what he saw in the distance. There were walls, made out of what looked like some sort of strong metal, and brick. "Rick" he said with a slight sense of happiness inside him,the sheriff then nodded seeing what was ahead. The two men smiled lightly at each other, Grimes put his hands back on the wheel as he drove towards the place in the silent dark.

They soon were just approaching the gates when rick spotted someone on what he guessed was the watch tower/platform. Rick stopped the car a bit far from the gates to keep a safe distance, he gave Daryl a look and nodded as they both stepped out of the car and closed the doors behind them at the exact same time. The two men took out their guns and raised them as the heavy metal gates slowly opened, the car headlights brightened the area. The person that was on the watch platform now stood in the entrance to the place. Ricks eyes filled with tears of relief and happiness as his jaw dropped seeing standing there a young man with long hair, wearing a sheriff's hat, a bandage wrapped around his head covering one eye. Rick dropped his gun "carl..?" He whispered loudly and darted towards him with tears quickly falling down his face,as he tightly wrapped his arms around carl, he fell to the ground with his son he thought was dead, safe in his arms. Daryl stood behind them with a light smile, happy for his best friend. The boy and rick finally stood up, Daryl stepped forward to carl giving him a light hug, after scruffing his hand in the boys hair, Daryl walked up to stand side by Rick. Rick then looked back up at the entrance to see stood there so many familiar people; Morgan, Sasha, Maggie, Aaron, Eric, Tara, and Enid holding...
