Chapter One

Sierra's Pov
It been a week since the class has started and everything went just how i expected it to be. Suitors left and right, girls who want to befriend me so they can get near those boys.
Yes, i know that. Many of those girls who come near me just wants to get a closer chance with their crush. Those filty little bitches just wants me for their own good.

The only person i knew who's true to me is my bestfriend, Shiela. For almost ten years, she's the only person who never left my side. Understands everything i did and never took me for granted. Too bad her parents enrolled her on a different university. Her mom wanted her to take up Law which forced her to study at the biggest university on the nearby town Alejandro. Though the university here in our town is actually big and well known her mom believed that the Sacred Saint Paul of Alejandro University has more to offer when it comes to Law and Criminology courses.

I remembered its her free hour just like me so i decided to call her.

"Hey Shie-girl? How's is it going there? Have you met a delicious Alejandrino?"I teased when she answered the phone.

"You know guys in here are not that interesting Sierra. You're crazy if you would actually think that i'd entertain any of 'em."She said bluntly.

Well, she don't need to remind me about it. Boys in Alejandro are known to be arrogant bastards with not much to show. They are either just rich without brains and balls or just balls without wealth and brains. There's nothing special about them that a girl with proper sanity could actually like. Gang wars and many other juvenile crimes are known to occur on that town.

"Yeah, i know that but who knows right? There might be an Alejandrino with the qualities you're looking for."I said while laughing.

"Stop it Sierra, its not funny. Just share some of your instant fame stories there."She said knowingly.

"Nothing new Shie-girl. Same old stories."

"Oh shit! I almost forgot! Sierra i'm sorry but i really need to go. Our criminal law professor wanted us to have a research about the recent crimes that had happened here."

"Alright then. See you on weekends."

"Hey Sierra! We're going to the town plaza. Come and join us."Liza bumped me with her elbow.

Here's the best example of those bitches. Liza Mayheim, a rich and not so pretty girl with so little intelligence that all that could ever be liked on her whole existence is her wealth. She's the only daughter of the town's governor which put her on the highiest position in the city and most specially in the university. She can come and go as she likes without being expelled or suspended.

"Really? You want me to come?"I asked testing her real intention.

"Of course Sierra and bring Matthew with you alright?"She replied.

I knew it! The invitation is just to have Matthew come with us today. Ugly bitch!

"Hey? Sierra? I said bring Matthew with you."She poked me with her finger.

"Sorry Liza but i have so many things to do today. Maybe some other time."I said before leaving.

It's only been a week but i'm already tired with all the shits these girls has been throwing at me. Making friends with me to get near those stupid boys. So pathetic! Why don't they just let those boys come after them? Does it has to be them chasing after boys? My god!

I walked my home alone. Ignoring those maniac looks from some randoms guys in the street. I'm so used to it but it still make me shudder all the time.

After dinner i just spent the rest of the night surfing the internet and smoking.

Yes, i smoke but no one knows about it. Even my bestfriend, Shiela never knew about my vices. Its not that i don't have the guts or i can't show it to anyone because i have a name to protect. I just respect my family to stand out as a black sheep. We're not that rich but my dad is a respectable chief of police and my mom is a known doctor. People expect so much from me to just play super rebel kiddo.

I was searching on google when suddenly the word vampire appeared on the search bar. Nonesense as it seems but i get curious to read the details about it. Many theories were told about vampires. Some said they were shape shifters, some says they are not. There were theories that the very first vampires were a family cursed to live a life in the darkness, some says its only one person who started the history and his name was Dracula. Many believed that vampires cannot stand the sunlight. Some also said that a person can be turned as a vampire when they were bitten by one. But one theory was strongly believed about them. They were blood-suckers.

Suddenly i felt the wind blows and i realized that i forgot to close the window. I get out of bed to close it but was stopped by the feeling of being watched. Goosebumps starts to roll over my skin like ants crawling and biting. I looked at the street just to see nothing but the already closed windows of our neighbors and the quiet beautiful nightsky. First i thought i was just hallucinating but the wierd feeling didn't fade away. I just decided to stop staring outside when the wierd feeling got stronger.

I turned off my laptop and switch to dimlight before sleeping. Despite of the feeling of being watched awhile ago it didn't take long before i fell asleep.

Outside while everybody's sleeping, at the time when everybody else are in the comfort of their rooms, there are others who's day just started.
