Since the night i saw her in my dreams i tried to look for her all over the university. I asked for her course on the registration office, i even asked for her adviser's name in the dean's office. I realized she's taking up medicine and was a freshmen as well. But to my goddamn luck, i couldn't find her. I'm not sure if its just coincidence or she was really avoiding me. I need answers to my questions that i know only she can give.
"Hey, Sierra?" Jessica pushed my shoulder slightly that brought me back to reality.
"Sorry? What was it again?" I don't even realized she's there.
"Really? Sierra, tell me the truth? What is happening to you? You're always out of this world. If not day dreaming, you seems to be mind traveling to a far away land. And i know what you're this past few days sweety.." She looked at me knowingly.
"What? Wait—wait, you know what i am up to this past few days? What— what are you talking about?" I suddenly got nervous.
"You know what Sierra? If you're a lesbian or you're really up to lesbians just admit it. You don't have to keep secrets to us. We're friends for fuck's sake." She sounds serious and hurt.
"Oh, there you are lesbian chaser Sierra. The miss-goody-two-shoes of the university acting so clean and divine." And that is Debbie, Max's older sister.
Every student started to gather around us. Them hearing something different about me would be a big talk of the university.
"What the fuck are you talking about Debbie?!" I will deny it. They shouldn't know. This will be bad for me.
"Trying to deny it? Hey guys! Listen up! This university's apple of the eye who's acting to be normal and dignified, saying lesbians are disgusting.."
Every lesbians looked at me with hatred.
"Is chasing for my friend's lesbian classmate Sean Phillips. You thought no one would know?"
Then the whispers started to rise. Almost all of the students around us looked at me with disgust.
"That's not true! I don't know what you're talking about!" Tears began to gather in the corner of my eyes.
"Really Sierra? Lucky you, i was there at the registration office when you asked Mrs. Smith for Sean's course. I followed you from there and what's really exciting is.. You even went to the College of Medicine dean's office to know who's our adviser." Said a girl i just know by face.
"She's right Sierra. I know it too. My brother is taking medicine right? He told about it. You looking for that Sean Phillips all around the university. Why do you have to act as if you think lesbians are filthy creatures?" Jessica looks at me as if this was the first time she knew me.
"You don't know how many nights Max have to cry because of your self-righteousness! You're so special to her! She thought you're a true friend but what did you do to her?! You break her apart!"
I closed my eyes when Debbie's right hand rose in the air. I knew she was about to slap me but all i felt was a raging heat in front of me. Then i heard the students gasp in shock.
"Try to lay a finger on her and i'll slit throat off."
I automaticall opened my eyes because of the voice i heard. It was different though. Not full of lust and desire but its her. She came to save me.
"Do—do you know what she thinks about lesbians? She sees you as a low filthy creature and you're trying to save her?!" Debbie's defeated voice.
"I don't care and you don't care as well. Now, leave or you will never have the chance to regret this day."
Her voice was harder, almost man-like. I felt the tension all around me. I was staring at her back, confused. How come i can't find her for the past days but now she's here saving me?
I just felt a hand grabbed mine and we walk. I was startled, confused and at the same time... excited. She led me to her car. A black Lamborghini sports car. Before i realized it, we were on the streets out of the university premises. She wad driving so fast all i could see outside were blurred colors.
"Can—can you drive a little slower? I don't wanna die this early!" I became hysterical.
Then the car went to a sudden stop. Luckily i was not wearing my seatbelt and my head almost hit the dashboard if i was not saved by a... hand. A cold hand?
