Kiss Me

Chapter Three

"You!" I kind of yell out.

"Yes me." he says taking a step back.

"Gods why? No offense." I tell him.

"Its fine. So when do you want to leave?" he asks heading for the door.

"Right now." I say grabbing my sword and attaching​ it to my belt.

"Right now? But you need to eat something." I grab my backpack and throw some clothes in.

"Its fine go get some clothes and a weapon. I'll meet you at your cabin in 15 minutes." he is about to say something but closes his mouth and goes out.

I shake my head grabbing all my stuff. "Why him?" I mumble.

"Why who?" I turn and see Percy in the door way. Oh no, this is not my day.

"Nothing." I say putting my backpack on and heading to the pavilion walking rather quickly trying to escape him.

"Come on Nico." Percy says following me. "You can tell me anything." he puts an arm on my shoulder smiling.

"Percy. It's nothing. Leave it." I say shrugging off his should grabbing the extra food left. Then I head to the infirmary.

"Fine. So I heard you're going on a quest." he says walking next to me.

"Yeah." I answer back.

"With that guy Will, right?"

"Yeah." I say again getting to the infirmary and getting ambrosia and nectar among other medical supplies.

"Did he tell you that Rachael gave a clue on how to find it?" he says handing me some bandages.

"No actually." I say taking the bandages stopping to look at him.

"Well she said something along the lines that you must go where your friends are and where a sibling is found...it was something like that." he says shrugging.

"The Romans." I think putting the bandages in my bag.

"Any ideas?" Percy asks.

"A few." I say. Getting my bag and leaving, Percy right behind me.

"Nico." Percy says grabbing my shoulder making me stop.

I look at him, it's been a while since I really looked at him. Usually I stay to myself avoiding everyone, especially him. He looks just like he did when I first met him. Just taller and he lost all his kid fat and has muscles. What am I thinking he looks very different.

"Oh Hades. I thought I was over him." I shake my head taking a step back from him, his arm falling to his side.

"Nico I just wanted to say good luck with your quest." I nod and am about to walk away when he then says, "Wait. Things have been kind of awkward since the battle and you admitting your uh feelings. I just needs to know, are we still friends?"

I freeze. We haven't talked about this since I told him. We talked but it was hardly ever and never about this. After a minute or two I say, "Percy I--Umm still like to think of you as friend. After all we've been through I can't lose someone else to some stupid feelings I had. " I say nervously.

He turns a light shade of pink and says, "I just wanted to know where we stand. Man am I glad to get that off my chest." I scoff. "Speak for yourself."

"Will is probably waiting I should get going." I say adjusting the bag on my shoulder.

"Let me walk you." he says with a carefree smile all the awkwardness gone.

"Ok." I say starting to walk to the Apollo cabin.

"So Will huh. What's up with him? Why do you think you have to go on this quest with him?" he says raising an eyebrow and smirking.

"I don't know. If Rachael says we have to go on a quest together then we do it, nothing more nothing less. Why?" knowing Percy he has something up his sleeve.

"Oh just wondering, since you're over me I thought maybe you and Will can... " he trails off raising his eyebrows.

"And you mean me & Will?" he nods.

"Percy I'm the son of death, my aura screams death. And Will is the son of sun like literally his dad is the sun god. He is sunshine and rainbows." I say walking faster to get away from this conversation.

"I bet he loves rainbows, if you get what I mean." Percy says nudging me.

"Percy! We're here. Finally." I mumble the last part. Will is standing outside of his door on a bench with a satchel and a bow and arrows.

He stands up smiling grabbing his satchel. I look at Percy expecting him to leave.

All he says before he leaves is, "Go get him." winking he walks away to a waving Annabeth.

I just shake my head and say, "You ready?" Will just nods.

We start walking to the entrance/exit of the camp. We stop next to the tree where Thalia was in for years. "Have any idea where we have to go?" Will says his blonde hair glinting in the sunlight.

"Yeah. Percy said the clue said where your friends are and where a sibling is found. My half sister Hazel. She is a Roman and I had friends who were Romans. So we have to go the Roman camp." I say starting to walking past Thalia's tree and it's protection into the woods.

Will behind me says, "They won't want a Greek in their camp. What if they kill me on sight?"

I stop walking and turn to him. He runs into me and we almost fall. I catch him and look at him. His eyes are beautiful. We stay like that for a minute and that's when I snap out of it. I put him up right. He's blushing and I put on my poker face to stop myself from turning red.

"First of all they trust me. They will probably just ask me who you are and stuff. Nothing bad." he nods slowly still not convinced.

"How are we going to get there, isn't it far?" he says grabbing the strap of his satchel nervously his arrows picking out from his quiver.

"Leave that to me." I say grabbing his hand which his expression turns to one of shock.

"We're shadow traveling." we then leave into a shadow of the tree closest to me leaving Camp Half Blood and it's protection from the inevitable monsters.
