After a few bus trips and long walks we almost make it to the camp. And by almost I mean we get attacked by some random monster that I don't bother to remember what it's called.

It latched on to Will's bag and dragged him but I cut its head of before it could do any real damage.

"You Ok?" I ask Will who is still on the floor. I kneel next to him and see the monster did get him. It got his arm.

"Give me my bag." he chokes out.
I give him his bag rapidly panicking. What do I do? Crap! I don't know what to do?!

"Nico stop panicking! I'm not dying. Just a scratch." he puts on some ointment and wraps it with bandages.

"See good as new." he smiles and I just shake my head.

"Let's go before anything else gets a piece of you." I say grabbing his good hand lifting him up.

"Wouldn't you?" he says in my ear when he's up.

I look at him and he has a smirk on his face and is walking away. I'm frozen gaping at him. Did he just. . .Hold on is he. . .What the hell?!

"Nico we're wasting time are you coming or not?" he says a with his hands on his hips that smirk still on his face.

I close my mouth and say, "Coming." I walk toward him and  he puts his arm around my shoulders.

What's with all the touchy stuff? I mean not that I really mind. . .No Nico tell him personal space. . .But he smells really good.

"What are you thinking about in that head of yours?" Will asks.

"Nothing." I say too quickly.

"Ok then." Crap he knows he's making me nervous.

"So Nico which way?" he says taking his arm off my shoulder making me relax. We are at a cross roads one leads to the high way and the other to forest. I point toward the highway.

"So where is this camp located?" Will asks walking next to me not putting his arm around me. (Thank the gods!)

"Its entrance is a service tunnel near the main Caldecott Tunnel in the Oakland Hills, near San Francisco. The current praetors or people in charge are Reyna and Frank both are people I know." I tell him.

"How long were you at the camp?" he says next.

"I don't know a few months or a year? I kind of lost track." I shrug the sound of cars louder.

He nods and is about to say something when I stop him.

"There's the entrance." I tell him pointing toward the middle of the road where two armed teenagers wearing purple shirts are standing guard.

He nods and says, "How are we going to get over there? We can't just run into the road and hope no one runs us over."

"You see that tree?" I tell him pointing toward a lone tree next to the entrance, he nods.

Grabbing his arm I slowly back him up into a tree. He looks scared for a split second and asks, "What are you doing?"

I smirk and lean into his ear, "We are going to shadow travel." Then I pull him into the tree's shadow and end up next to the entrance. I am standing while Will falls to the ground next to me pale.

I smile and say, "Two can play your game Will."

He looks at me and says, "I will never get used to shadow traveling."

The two Romans move toward us cautiously. When they see me though they put their weapons down.

"Jack. Daniel." I say. I last saw them making weapons for the war.
