"Why am I not surprised?"

That was the first thing that came out of Frankie's lips as soon as she saw me walk into the living room of the house. Behind me, the boys trailed in after. Charles was still moaning about the punch and Nick and Hunter snickered at him.

I plopped down the sofa, a groan escaping my mouth. "Ouch."

She stood up, "I'm going to get the first-aid kit. Wait here."

Nick's face came into my view and his face scrunched up as he studied my face. "Damn, Cece."

"Did you enjoy the show?" I couldn't help but ask irritably.

Even though they didn't participate in the whole 'who let the dogs out' charade, they still didn't do anything to help me from the dogs. That was a jerk move on their part.

He raised both hands in surrender and guilt flickered in his warm, brown eyes. "Yeah, we were assholes. Sorry."

I wasn't one to hold grudges, or feel anger for consecutive days. Well, except for Kieran's case. I felt my anger dying down as Nick gave me a tentative smile.

Him and Hunter were the only boys from my year that I socialize with often. These two were the only one of the few who didn't find me too weird when they first met me when all of the other friends of my brother did.

"But why'd you punch me though?" Charles cried and I looked at him to see that he was still cradling his stomach.

"You have to ask?" I deadpanned.

"You were like the star of the show back there, Cece," Quinn chuckled.

Frankie came back, plopping down beside and put the kit on the coffee table. She tucked my hair in my ears, giving her a clear view of the disaster that's called my face. After making tutting sounds, she began getting a cotton ball and putting disinfectant on it.

"Let me guess," She started, "It's Jai and Ho, huh?"

I grimaced, "Don't call those dogs by their names. Just call them 'fuckers'."

She glared at me, not appreciating the cuss, but she didn't try to hit me. She wrinkled her nose as she looked around the room, "Seriously, you guys all stink. Get a shower, will you?"

Quinn and Charles left to follow what she said, while Nick and Hunter called goodbye to me, promising they'll check on me later on.

I bit my tounge as she gently began dabbing the cotton ball on my temple, to my cheeks, and the few cuts on my palms where I had tried to stop my fall. The leash had bit on the skin of my wrist, leaving a nasty red mark. It looked like a cut, but not enough to be called a cut. She put a band-aid on the cut on my temple, but left alone my cheek.

"You're lucky the cuts you receive weren't anything that serious or else your face would be full of scars right now." She observed.

After working and putting the first-aid kit back to the bathroom, she came back with a Mars chocolate and handed it to me. Affection swirled in me. When she's not being a total terror of a sister, she can be sweet and really looks after me.

I bit on my chocolate, feeling myself relax for the first time. Frankie spoke beside me, "Why do you keep walking Jai and Ho when you know this kind of thing always happens?"

She had asked me this always whenever I came home every Saturday morning with cuts on my face. I shrugged. "No one wants to walk them."

"So you feel like it's your duty to be the one to walk them, then?"

"They might be true assholes, those dogs. But they're my assholes." Weird...it's like I said I had two holes on my butt.

"You're so weird. Did I ever tell you that?" She chuckled.
