"No touching of my stuff, no borrowing without my permission, and no snoring because dammit, I've had enough of Charles'."
Kieran only looked at me, before proceeding to dump his duffel bag in the corner.
"Get it?" I snapped.
"Hulk girl, ever heard of shutting up?"
"Ever heard of fuck you? I told you to not call me that!" And with that I stomped to my bathroom and slammed the door closed like what a brat would do.
I can't believe I'm going to be sharing a room with that guy for god knows how long. This is crazy. My family's crazy to even think that he and I will be civil to each other. Like hell. He broke my iPod, and I'm still thirsty like the Sahara desert for a revenge.
Stripping off my clothes, I stepped in the shower, letting the warm water calm me down.
I tried to remind myself that it's not going to be long before the storage room in front of Charles' room will be cleared up. I just have to be patient and restrain myself from strangling Kieran.
After dressing into sweatpants and oversized T-shirt, I stepped out of the bathroom, and my eyes landed immediately on Kieran's figure on the mattress. He had his arm over his eyes, and judging from the even breathing coming from him, he's already asleep. He had already changed into nothing but sweatpants, his naked torso clearly on view.
I went straight for my bed, and I always slept facing from the wall, thus making him in my line of view. I tried to ignore him and called for sleep, but unfortunately this was one of the nights where I'm awake like a vampire. I was restless. It was like my butt was being crawled up by ants. I remembered my iPod. I could've been having a goodnight sleep right now, listening to music, but the figure right below me was the reminder that I'm not going to have that from now on.
The moonlight coming from the window illuminated Kieran's snow-like skin, casting fine shadows across his body. He's really tall. He must be towering at six foot two. My eyes traveled to his torso, where his well-defined stomach and chest was showing. Okay, he has a nice body. I'll give him that. I'll admit he puts Charles' own body to shame, but there's still the fact that he's the same guy who broke my iPod and made me punch that officer.
As I drank up the sight of the lean yet muscular body below me, my eyes travelled up, noting how his collar bones prominently stuck out attractively. Goddamn, even his neck was attractive. His Adam's apple jutted out in an appealing way, and I cursed it. I remembered his voice. Of course I'd said I'd remember it anywhere. He has that deep, smooth voice that I've cursed ever since I first heard it.
I need to stop this. But it was like my eyes had a mind of its own as it continued moving up.
My eyes landed on his lips. In the moonlight, it looked silvery-gray. But I knew it was pinkish-red, such a tantalizing color on a guy like him. It was basically the only color that's in between his contrasting pale skin and raven hair and dark eyes. But such a nice contrast. My eyes—my traitor of eyes—studied his straight nose, the angular jaw.
Dammit.
I lie on my back, determined to keep my eyes glued to the ceiling and to keep my breathing even. Was I hyperventilating? I shut my eyes tight for a moment, willing him to disappear from my mind, and reminding myself to stay calm and not freak out that there's a guy in my room, just about 15 inches away from me.
So, I hate the guy. But can you blame me if this is the first time I've been this close to a guy excluding my brothers for the first time ever?
I admit it. My brothers were right.
