"You look fine," Honey murmured, smile growing wider with each second as she looked me up and down, "Definitely fine."
I rolled my eyes, "I'd rather you be honest than try to make me feel okay." I gestured at the heart-shaped hole that Kieran had so kindly made. "Do you see this? I've never even worn something that showed this much skin!"
"I'm saying the truth, not making you feel better," She said. "And at least you have a little bit of cleavage, too."
"She's saying the truth," Carter repeated, nodding at my chest, "I'm actually surprised that you have a bit of game going on there. They're always hidden under granny clothes."
The three of us were in the room for employees only of the diner & cafe, where I had changed into the ugly uniform. Outside, there was already so many customers, mainly the students who hang out here after school even if it's Monday night.
Most customers were girls because they heard Kieran was one of the employees.
I had wanted to strangle my sister and her friend for not letting me know that I was the only girl working in the diner. Yes. You heard me right. I'm the only girl. I'd been shocked to the bones that I didn't even speak or move for full five minutes when they announced that to me just a while ago. Frankie had even said that I was one lucky girl, and honestly I didn't get what she was trying to say.
A knock sounded on the door and the three of us looked up. Frankie and Cindy stepped in, and as their eyes found me, they widened to size of a football.
"Omygosh," Cindy gushed as both of them ran to me, their hands fumbling all over me as I tried to move away with a troubled expression on my face. I looked to my friends for help, but sadly they were only watching in amusement. "You look so cute, Cece!"
"See?" Frankie said mischievously as she ran her eyes approvingly at me, "I told you it'd be a good idea if you have a girl, too. This way, the male customers also have someone pleasing to look at."
"What?" I shouted. "You're using us to attract attention?"
"Shush, it's called marketing," Frankie said to me and turned her eyes back to her friend, that crazy, obsessive glint back in her eyes. "Plus, this is what I've been waiting for my whole life; for people to finally realize that my sister is not just any weirdo but a cute weirdo! This will finally get her to be asked out by guys!"
Cindy nodded in every word, her eyes also slowly glazing with that crazy glint. Shit, I don't need her to obsess over me too! "I know! We so did the right thing of hiring her and designing this kind of outfit!"
Both crazy pair of eyes turned back to me. I swallowed. Was it wrong that I wasn't even starting my job yet, but I already wanted to quit?
Five minutes later, both crazy girls had pushed me out of the room and I stumbled out, breathless.
"Woah, is that Cece?" I heard Quinn's voice, and I looked up from the ground to find him sitting on one of the booths with his friends. As my already-malfunctioning brain registered numbers of pairs of eyes on me, I furiously flushed as I ducked my head down again.
"Isn't she the cutest thing ever?" Frankie gushed to her twin, proudness in her voice.
A notepad and a pen was shoved to me and I saw Cindy smiling, "Your shift's starting, Cece. You'll be on tables 1-5."
I swallowed, but nodded.
Turns out Quinn's table was one of the tables I was serving. Fortunately his friends didn't make any comment--but I think it was because Quinn specifically told them to behave, plus his evil eyes shooting laser beams at them. I was grateful for that. Nick and Hunter though, seeing as they didn't fear their captain unlike most members do, did the opposite thing.
