"So whaddya have to say to some last ball with me?" I heard my brother saying from the kitchen, where Kieran was having his late brunch because he just had woken up.

My siblings will be leaving tomorrow morning for college, and here was Quinn savoring every last bit of being here with us.

"Sure," said Kieran, taking a large gulp from his cup of coffee. "Don't have anything to do today, anyway."

"Then let's go!" My brother excitedly said and he emerged from the doorway. He suddenly turned to me, a frown on his face. "Cece, you come, too."

"Nah, I'm tired," I said as I sat watching episode after episode of T.V. series.

"You've been doing nothing this summer but stay cooped up in the house," He said and for the first time in ages, I detected an authority in his tone. "How in the world are you tired?"

True. Aside from doing my shifts at work, I hadn't really made the effort to go out and enjoy the summer. Even though my friends had tried to call me up and get me out, I had refused adamantly. I've just been so down at the inevitable fact that my siblings will be leaving at the end of summer that I couldn't find it in myself to enjoy the whole vacation time.

Which was, to say the least, was such a stupid move for me. I was supposed to be cherishing every moment with them and yet here I was, acting like a baby.

Quinn held out his hand to me, and he had a gentle smile on his face, "Come on, little brat."

So I ended up coming to see Kieran and Quinn's last basketball play for the time being; I wasn't able to resist that smile from my brother. I sat at the bleachers, glancing at the place to see that we were the only ones using the court.

"Prepare to taste defeat, you amateur," Quinn announced rather majestically, a toothy grin on his face.

"I wouldn't want you to leave without getting your ass kicked first, Captain," Kieran fired back, same grin on his face as they faced each other.

I rolled my eyes at this show of dominance. Or bromance? Anyway, I cupped my hands around my mouth and hollered, "Just kiss each other, there's too much sexual tension already!"

Kieran's head swivelled to where I was sitting and he already has a dark look plastered on his face which made me snicker to myself. I watched how Quinn said something to him with a low voice, and how Kieran's expression turned into a flustered one.

"As much as I enjoy the yaoi in front of me, I'm getting bored, too," I yawned loudly.

Quinn gestured to me as he spoke to his opponent, "Looks like our one and only spectator's getting bored. Wanna give her a show?"

And this started their one on one.

The moment it started, it was anything but boring. Both guys gave it their all and both didn't let the other have the upperhand. I knew Kieran was good, but this was the first time I've seen him go toe to toe with Quinn who was the basketball captain for a reason. He was giving my brother a hard time -- that much I could tell. When one scored, the other would score, too. It was exhilarating, to be honest, and I'm glad my brother was too stubborn and 'forced' me to go. Now I wondered why I didn't always come to their plays.

"I finally found you, Cece."

I jumped in shock at the sudden voice. I was so engrossed at the game that I hadn't noticed that someone had sat beside me.

It was seven year old Scott, one of the kids that I babysat at the Daley household.

He was also the one that put glue in my hair.
