I entered the elevator trying not to look at the curly haired boy, but failed when he greeted me.
" Good morning miss Amylee. "
" Hello." I greeted back then turned my head to the other side of the elevator.
" Watch your card ha, don't let it fall again. " the boy smirked and it sort of annoyed me.
As soon as the elevator stopped at my floor, I stepped out but I wanted to know something.. I turned my head back to ask him what was his name but unfortunatly the door was already closed.
That wasn't big of deal. I made my way to my office to start my work. as soon as I put my ass on my moving chair, my phone rang from my bag, I quickly got it and answered :
" Hello Amy, how are you? I missed you! that was a long time no talk ." my best friend Jamie said before I could talk.
" Oh hi, sorry I was kinda busy the past days, you know I got a new job and today is my second day here. " I replied.
" No way! that's very good news, why didn't you tell me, we should party this! "
" Oh no, no need to a party! I just got a new job. it's nothing. "
" Anyway, I am calling to tell you that you are invited to our house tonight for dinner, my mum wants to see you, we really miss you around. " he told me and I could picture his beautiful smile.
" Well, you know I can't refuse so yes i'll gladly come. "
" Okay, it's settled then, and we will have a drink about you 'having the new job'.. What time shall I come to pick you up? "
" I go out from work at 5pm so 7 is good, I think? "
" Deal ! i'll see you later." Jamie said then hung up the phone.
So that was the third day I didn't practise my sport. I should really re-start. I shouldn't have stopped it.
I began my work, making and receving calls for Mr Millit, studying the files, writing stuff that he wanted me to write.
It was finally time for my lunch break, I left my office thinking of where should I have my lunch.
As soon as I arrived to the lobby, my eyes met the middle-aged woman from the first day, my feet took me to her desk..
" Hey ma'am. " I said as she turned her attention to me.
" Hi girl, call me Sydney please." She laughed and I joined.
" Sydney how are you? " It was a bit awkward calling her by her name.
" I'm fine darling, how are you? do you like your job? "
I nodded then spoke again :
" Yeah, everything is good here I really like it.. Mmm I was just wondering if you know any nearby restaurent? "
" For your break lunch? " she asked and I nodded.
" Well, you don't need to leave the building, there's a special lunch room in the third floor, you can find anything you want. " she informed me.
" Really! I'll go right away then, I don't want to waste anymore time, thank you miss Sydney, i'll see you around. " I said then quickly turned on my heels.
Just as I reached the lunch room, I was surprised by how big it was... There were many tables, and a lot of counters where you could choose your food.. I felt really comfortable by seeing it, I didn't have to go out to find a place for my lunch then.
