"You know why you're here right?" asked the man on the other side of the cold metal table.
"No, I don't, I haven't done anything," replied a red head girl sitting on the opposite side of the table, "at least nothing you can prove that I did."
"I don't know how to make you understand that this is serious, it's a murder investigation and as an agent of the NSA, I can't let you go so easily."
The investigation room was very gray, dull, and cold, it had a metal table and two chairs placed on opposite sides of it, and there was a window inside the room in which you couldn't see inside and only saw your reflection, but knew there were other agents watching you from the other side.
"Look, agent Hexs, I did not kill anyone, I'm just a seventeen year old girl, how could I kill a man that not only have I never in my life met him, but he's fifty-five years old, I wouldn't be able to carry him" responded the girl after a few seconds with a 'duh' tone.
"Ok, stop this" the very tall, strong, and wavy red haired officer commanded in firm voice.
"Stop what agent, I don't understand" the girl said with a cocky smile across her face.
"You know what I'm talking about, stop acting like you don't know me; I'm your brother for Pete's sake."
"Oh! So now you're my brother, huh Mathew? After you left me alone when I was seven, without parents, money, or a place to live in? And also accusing me of murder? Ha! Now I'm your sister?" she replied with amusement in her voice.
"This is my job and you are the prime suspect what do you want me to do, let you go? You know I can't do that."
"Why not Mathew? Why can't you let me go like you did when I was only seven? But really what I wanted you to do was to never leave me, but I guess we can't always get what we want can't we?"
The room stayed silent for a few minutes when it was interrupted by the door opening.
"Officer Hexs, the board of directives would like to have a word with you immediately," a man wearing a gray suit said.
"I'll be there in a minute," Mathew replied, "And as for you Maxine, you better confess soon, you won't want to drag this much longer."
Maxine stayed quiet looking at him with pure anger and rebellion.

"What's the matter Mathew? You sure don't look happy," Maxine said in a sort of teasing way, once Mathew walked back into the interrogation room.
"So, they say you have a witness to present to us that proved you weren't there with the man at the time of his murder; the thing is that I don't believe you or him; you are both cold blooded criminals, why would I believe either one of you?"
"I'm not a cold blooded criminal," she snapped at him, "I am just rebellious nothing else and all because of a reason which I'm sure you don't want me to bring back and as I already told you I didn't know that man!" she replied in a more calm and confident way.
"So why did we find your bracelet in his apartment?!?!?!" Mathew yelled firmly at Maxine.
Maxine looked away instantly with a shameful look. She couldn't even bare to look at her brother.
"Speechless? Now that is a surprise. Are you ready to confess?" as Mathew said this he looked as if he had just won the battle yet wasn't happy about it.
"No, I didn't murder that man. The reason why my bracelet was in his apartment is because I... 'knew' his son, but that is it," Maxine responded seriously and very ashamed.
"Which means you did know the man and you were at his house. But the real question is, were you there the day of his murder?"
At that moment Maxine refused to answer any more questions without an attorney present.

After hours and hours of deliberation between agent Hexs and the attorney, Maxine was let free due to lack of evidence. Agent Hexs was very angry but determined to find the truth, even if it meant imprisoning his little sister.
