All night long agent Hexs went through every file, evidence, and crime scene pictures, but he couldn’t quite find what he wanted. He actually began thinking that his relationship with the suspect was affecting his work. He thought that he didn’t want to find evidence that pointed to his sister, yet he still had a hunch that told him that it was his sister or that his sister was somewhat involved in the murder. It was 4am and he decided to go over the tapes of the interrogation, so he went to the video room.
At the video room, a fat man with curly longish hair, eating Doritos sat in front of a computer at the corner of the small and dark room, where you mostly all that are able to see is piles and piles of video tapes and the bright blue light of the computer screen.
“Hey, Ron what are doing?” Agent Hexs questioned while holding back a laugh as he saw a man and a woman getting ready to bump nasties.
Quickly exiting the video Ron said nervously, “Agent Hexs! Hi, you startled me; that is not what it looks like.”
Laughing a little with a smirk on his face agent Hexs responds, “If you say so, anyway I need to see the tapes for today’s interrogation with our suspect of murder.”
“Umm, sure no problem, ah here it is Maxine Hexs,” Ron suddenly looked dumbfounded, “Maxine Hexs? Is she related to you agent Hexs?”
“Yes, she is related to me why?” he asked seriouly.
“Well, she is being accused of murder and you are in charge of this case and you are her older brother.” Ron stated the obvious trying not to offend agent Hexs.
“So, that doesn’t mean anything, I am doing my job properly and with evidence.” He simply stated.
“What if she is the murderer?”
“Then she will get her time in prison like every other criminal.” He declared coldly.
“OK then here are the tapes, hope they are useful.” Ron said a little uneasy after the coldhearted tone agent Hexs used.
“I hope so too.”
Meanwhile Maxine was in her dark, small, cramped apartment. There was only one room with clothes all over the floor, a small messed up bed, and a tiny walk-in closet. In the living room there were empty pizza boxes on the floor along with wrappers, there was an old raggedy couch and a crappy TV in the center. There were take-out bags on the small kitchen table and counters, beer in the fridge, and sherbet ice cream in the freezer, and some baked chips in the cabinets. The bathroom was tiny, the walls and corners of the shower had mold, the lights were dim, and the sink a complete mess. Not to mention in the horrible streets the apartment was in.
