Son Lux- Easy
Riley has been asleep for two weeks, and still hasn't opened her eyes. Nobody has an idea if she is alive or not, because of her non-beating heart. Everyone has lost all hope of her coming back to life.
Damon gave Riley his blood every day, because they all think that's what's keeping her alive. But what they don't know is that she has rejected all of the blood, and is in between life and death in her head.
She is fighting very hard to stay alive, and is very weak. If she doesn't wake up in the next few days her body will give up.
"We should have gotten here sooner!" Elena yelled at the Damon.
She circled around the sofa in the light of the burning fireplace. There were dark circles around her doe eyes. She had stayed with Riley at the Boarding house for the past two weeks. She always made sure someone was in there with her every minute. She wanted to make sure that the pattern of her rising and falling chest wouldn't come to an end, and she wanted to be there if she woke up. Her attitude had changed completely when Riley went into coma.
They had a doctor come to the Boarding house ever day to check up on her. The doctor knew about vampires and werewolves. She had tried to explain to Elena that she may not wake up, but Elena refused to acknowledge that.
"You should have stayed here like we told you Elena!" Damon yelled back.
He was just as mad and restless as Elena. He may not show it, but he was pretty disappointed that Riley wouldn't wake up. He had been drinking more than usual, and had been out killing when it wasn't his time to watch Riley.
Elena looked down at her feet, and shifted under Damon's hard gaze.
"If you would have just stayed here like we told you in the first place none of this probably would have happened! But no you couldn't listen to us and stay put you had to get out of the house. Everything isn't always about you, or how you want it to be done. Riley is dying and it's your entire fault," Damon exclaimed.
He walked away from Elena without another word, and headed out the door and slammed the door behind him.
Elena flinched, and tried to blink away the tears. She collapsed on the couch behind her, and took Damon's words in.
There was a sound coming from upstairs, and footsteps coming towards the stairs.
"What is all the noise about down there," Stefan harshly whispered.
Everyone was use to whispering in the house, because they wanted Riley to rest in peace.
Elena huffed, "Damon's right. All of this is my fault. I should have stayed here and waited for Riley to come back. Now because of me she may never wake up again," she sighed.
Stefan just kept his mouth shut. She was right, and both of them knew it.
Riley's Part of View
I could hear everything they were saying. But I couldn't respond.
I was stuck in this in between life and death world. I was sitting in a white wooden chair, and every once in a while Stefan or a doctor named Lucy would appear. They would stand right in front of me and talk me right in the eyes. They talked in a soothing way like I was sleeping, but I wasn't. I could see them clearly and I could hear them talking in my head.
It was weird to watch people talk to you, and be so gentle while they speak. When Lucy said I may not wake up I wanted to scream that I was that I was alive and well.
