He had come to save me. I was starting to doubt him. He ran towards one of the men, and snapped his head swiftly like it was the easiest thing in the world. The enemies body went limp and fell to the ground with a thud. The corpse was staring right at me, eyes in shock, his mouth opened. His head was turned in an odd direction that made my stomach turn. I looked away quickly before I threw up again.
I looked to him; my hero. He was circled by my enemies, but he didn't seem the least bit terrified. I was about to pass out with all the action, but I tried to keep my eyes open. I struggled against the thick itchy rope rubbing against my wrists. There was no way I was going to be able to undo the ropes with nothing to cut them with. I leaned against the tree behind me, and pulled myself up. I spit the remaining blood from my lip out on the grass.
Meanwhile while I was tied up to a tree. He was fighting off the enemies. With every flick of his wrist a body was laying on the forest ground. Once he had defeated all of them he ran straight towards me. My vision was cloudy with what looked like red liquid which I assumed was blood. I couldn't see his face clearly as he walked behind me. I turned my head making sure he hadn't left me. He was trying to cut the rope with his teeth. It worked like a knife, and I quickly grasped my wrists and winced at the burning pain. He stood up, and walked in front of me.
I must have looked horrible with leaves and sticks knotted into my hair, yet he still stared at me in amazement. I didn't know weather to run away from him, or to thank him. He did just kill about half a dozen people with his bare hands. But I decided to stay right by the friendly tree while he stared at me. A sound of crunching leaves woke him out of his daze, and he whipped his head towards the tree. He looked back at me.
"Run," he whispered. I was shocked. He wanted me to leave him to be devoured by these people? No way was I leaving without him.
He stood his full height and kissed my hair before leaving me enough room for me to run the opposite direction. I tried to move but my feet were planted to the ground. He walked away, and clenched his fists, and rolled his head startling me with a loud crack of his neck. I looked off into the trees, and then back at where he was standing.
Should I run? Or help him?
It's not like I could help that much, but throw a couple punches to defend myself, but at least I would be helping. This man surely couldn't survive the inhuman creatures. The footsteps had gotten closer. I looked off into the wood once, twice, but still stayed where I was standing.
"Run, Rose, Run."
The man yelled. But the mans face was different then normal. There were long fangs hanging from his gums, and his eyes had turned a gold color. This man wasn't at all human.
But this man had a name. There was only one man who called me Rose, and there was only one man that would save me. It had shocked me at first. He had lied. I thought he was normal, someone who I could trust. But no, he was a beast. This mans name was Nicklaus.
30 minutes earlier...
I could here the sounds of wolves, howling. It made me shiver. It was cold, and dark. I was alone tied up to a tree. I had called out for help dozens of times but know one had answered. I could really use a glass of water, and a bag of Twizzlers.
"Help!" My voiced echoed through the trees.
I swallowed the dry lump in my throat, and closed my eyes trying to ignore the tears coming to my eyes. I sniffled back a sob, and took a deep breath.
"Please." I whimpered.
It had just dawned to me that there was know way that someone could save me now. I was to far away, and hidden. I had been a dummy and walked off the highway and left the car stranded while I wondered around. Now I was left with these people hiding in the trees.
