We all have our horrors and our demons to fight.
But how can I win, when I'm paralyzed?"Guise could you give me some space?"
They all looked at me like had just grown to horns, and turned back to hovering over my body.
I was currently in my room being examined by; Damon, Elena, Bonnie, Stefan, and Caroline. They were checking every single body part to make sure everything was functioning right. Apparently they all knew a little bit about doctors, and wanted to me one today. I kept trying to ask them what they were doing, but all they said was "Your heart isn't beating." I clearly already figured that out after Damon;s little out burst.
My heart was totally fine I was breathing fine, and I could move, so as far as I know it must just be there ears that arn't working. Of course I couldn't see for myself, cause how the hell am I suppose to hear my heart unless they had a stethoscope, and I bet I could find one in this ancient house.
When Damon said I didn't have pulse, Elena insisted that we got out of the hospital, and take me to the Salvatore Mansion. And of course once I started walking towards the hospital rooms door, Damon rushed over to me and slung me over his shoulder. And that was my journey to this wicked place.
The room I was painted beige, and there was a bunch of antiques on shelves, and right smack in the middle of the room was this big king size bed. It was quite comfortable without bodies all over me.
I was interrupted at staring at the wall when I felt an hand go up my shirt. I jerked up, "Whoa, OK, enough touchy touchy." I scolded all of them for trying to push me back down.
"Maybe we should take a break, I think we made it clear that something is wrong, but shes breathing fine, and she can move and that's what matters." Caroline reasoned. Thank the gods, I'm glad there was one person in the room that actually agreed with me.
They all backed away, but Damon stayed sitting at the corner of the bed staring at me. I felt kind of self-conscious, and looked away from his burning gaze.
"Why don't you guise go the grill and get something to eat while I stay here and watch Riley." His voice seemed interested in something else though.
Elena looked skeptical about the whole idea, and so did Stefan, while everyone else just walked out of the room; no questions asked. Damon gave them a reassuring smirk, but Elena didn't budge. She looked at me and back at Damon, and then glanced at Stefan. Stefan shrugged, and Elena sighed and walked slowly to the door not breaking her gaze at Damon. Damon trailed behind them, basically pushing them out.
"Have fun, don't worry about us, we'll be fine. Love you all." He called after them. Once he heard the front door slam close. He slowly turned, and smirked at me.
My eyes widen. Why did he want us to be alone!? Damon tried to mock her frightened face expression, but failed miserably. He walked over to the chair in the corner of the room, and sat down crossing his legs like he was some psychiatrist.
"Don't worry I don't bite, hard." That was the oldest saying in the book, what was he trying to do. Strangle me with his ego.
I hadn't noticed I was at the end of the bed cowering away, until I almost fell back, but held onto the sheets tightly. What was I doing? I was the Riley Gilbert, I shouldn't be scared of this ego swallowing, weirdo.
Damon got up from the chair, and sat at the end of the bed, with a heavy gaze at my face. He looked like he was trying to look through me like I was easy to read.
"What did you mean?" His voice was low, and slow. I had no idea what he was talking about. He must of caught on to my confused expression, because he continued.
"You said something in the hospital." His voice soft, it sound as if he was in a different world. "You said 'He's coming'." He sounded confident about his words.
I felt a sudden tug in my head, and there was a great pain in my head. I screamed in agony griping at my hair, my eyes squeezed shut. I heard a faint voice calling for someone, but I couldn't hear them with this loud ringing in my head. I put my head in between my knees, and felt someone shake my shoulders. I squinted my eyes trying to ignore the pain going on my head. My vision was blurry, but I could see what looked like Damon talking. If only I could hear what he was saying, but all I could see was his mouth moving.
The sound was a high pitched ringing sound it was like in between nails scraping a chalk board, and some screaming my ears. It had become so loud I could no longer hear my own screaming, but I could feel my lips part, and sour pain in the back of my throat.
I fell back on the bed, finally the ringing had stopped, but my eyes wouldn't stay open. It was just like Elena's room all over again. I could hear Damon calling my name, and shaking my body.
My eyes slowly went in the back of my head, and my body went limp. All I could hear was the faint sound of a heart beating.
