I sat in the rear seat of an incredibly expensive looking car. I sat next to the blonde, who'd I'd learned was called Rebekah. Klaus drove and Elijah sat in the passenger seat. This reminded me way too much of the day I got burned in the car. Shaking my head to remove the thoughts of that horrible morning.
I was beyond anxious as Klaus steered us down a road surrounded by trees. I glanced up and looked at the moon, I really hope they weren't expecting me to be around humans. I can barely contain my thirst for blood around other vampires, I knew I'd have zero self control around humans.
"Where are we going?" I asked in a shaky voice, my nerves getting the best of me.
Elijah was the one to answer
"We have business that needs to be tended to."
"Oh." I still felt guilty for breaking his neck. I need to find a chance to apologize.
We drove for a few minutes longer. I knew we were getting close to our destination as the trees turned to extravagant buildings, and the moon replaced by glowing lights. Before I knew it we were driving through the city.
I gasped, in awe at how beautiful it was.
My fascination was short lived as I noticed the humans walking along the streets. I froze.
I can't take any more innocent lives.
I can't be here.
I felt my chest tighten, and it became extremely hard to breathe.
Klaus parked the car outside a dark building and the 3 vampires stepped out of the car. The moment they opened their doors I was drowning in the overwhelming odor of humans.
I didn't move from my seat. I was frozen stiff. To frightened to move.
My door was opened by Klaus. I looked at him and he had a very impatient look on his face. He grabbed my arm and started pulling me out of the car. Humans stepped around him as he tried to tug me onto the sidewalk.
"I can't!" I whispered harshly to him, "I can't control myself around humans, Klaus! I don't want to hurt anyone.... please don't make me."
I was begging. His eyes grew softer, "I'm not going to let you hurt anybody, trust me." he said as he pulled my arm once again.
I felt a few tears slide down my cheeks before I nodded my head.
Panic washed through me as I stepped onto the cement. I shook my head back and forth trying to get back to the car. I changed my mind, I don't trust Klaus. I want to go back to my room.
Strong arms found their way around my waist and dragged me. I was forced to walk forward. Turning to see who was pushing me, I looked directly into the eyes of Elijah. His face was serious. He nudged me forward, determined to keep me going.
Rebekah walked ahead of us and Klaus stayed by my side, his hand still wrapped around my arm.
I felt the burning in my throat as we passed the humans. My fangs elongated and I felt my veins protrude from under my eyes. I had no control.
I needed blood.
I lunged at a man who was walking by us, I let out a snarl as I did. I was harshly yanked back. Elijah and Klaus had both held me back.
"Let me go!" I yelled
I didn't even recognize my own voice, it was dark and ferocious. I pulled against the hands that restrained me. Putting all my strength into it. I whipped around so I was looking at Klaus.
"Let. Me. Go."
He ignored me which just pissed me off. I lunged at him, aiming my fangs at his neck. He saw me coming and caught my neck in his arms and held me in a choking position. I clawed at his hands, trying to get him to release me.
