"How much longer are we going to have to stay here? I miss my bed." Hayley said from her seat at the window. She and Rebekah had been at Sophie's for over 4 hours and they were both getting ancy to get home.
"Until Nik says we can go back. Who knows how long that'll be.." Rebekah answered with a bored voice. She sat at an old wooden table across from Sophie. She kept twirling a piece of her hair around her finger as she stared out the window at the foggy morning lights that had begun to appear.
"You don't think he'll hurt her do you?" Hayley asked in a quiet voice. Sophie was obviously surprised by her sudden question as she looked up from the book she was reading and kept glancing from Rebekhah to Hayley, waiting for the answer.
Rebekah raised her eyebrows and turned to Hayely, "Why would you ask that? She just killed 15 people in cold blood, if he kills her, she kind of deserves it."
"Nobody deserves to die. Especially Arista. She can't help what she is. She doesn't like hurting people but she doesn't know anything else. All she's ever known is killing."
Everyone was silent for a moment as the weight of Hayley's words sunk in. Sophie was the first to break the quiet, "She's not as helpless as you think..."
The other two woman turned instantly to stare at the witch. "What do you mean?" they asked in unison.
"You don't know? Her little wolf pet, Pip. He's got the power to kill us all and he's completely under Arista's command. You've got a blood crazy hybrid with a magical wolf killing machine teamed up... She's a big threat. You shouldn't feel sorry for her."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Rebekah asked
With a sigh Sophie put her book down then crossed her arms over her chest before telling them both everything she'd told Klaus about The Firsts. By the time she'd finished her tale, both Hayley and Rebekah's expressions had changed from confusion to fear.
"So you're telling me that if we interfere with whatever these Firsts have planned for Arista they could kill us? How is that even possible?"
"They're ancient creatures. We hardly know anything about them. All I know is that if Arista discovers what Pip really is, and discovers how to wield his powers, we're all going to need to get as far away from New Orleans as possible."
Hayley leaned back in her chair and ran her hands through her hair before placing them back on her swollen belly. She looked exhausted and now with the news about Arista she was beyond stressed out. She cared for Arista. She reminded her of herself in a way. She never had a real family, never had someone who actually loved and cared for her with only the best intentions. She'd believed she could of become that family to Arista. She felt sorry for the young girl and all she wanted to do was comfort her and let her know that she wasn't alone in the world.
Now, she was aware of how much of a threat the young girl was and it hurt her heart. She didn't want to be another person Arista had to fear.
A buzzing sound started coming from Rebekah's pocket. She reached down and pulled out her cellphone, placing it quickly to her ear. She hung up a moment later.
"Nik says we can go back now. Let's go Wolfy," she said reaching a hand out and helping the pregnant girl stand.
"Did he say anything about her? Is she okay?" Rebekah ignored her questions and gently pushed her out the door. "Thanks witch, it's been fun. Let's not do it again." the blonde smirked before she closed the door behind her. Just as the large door swung shut it was reopened by a young man.
Sebastian Gretzky.
