Third Person POV
"Nicolette! Nicolette, where are you? I demand to speak with you!" Sebastian yelled as he stormed through the front door of Nicolette's small cottage. There were a few chairs in the front room of the house, along with a large table and many many shelves covering the walls. Jars of spices and herbs and who knows what else filled the shelves. Grimoires were littered across the table. Some open while others remained shut. Candles sat on every available place, each casting a soft glow around them."What is it my love?" Nicolette asked in a quiet voice as she stepped out of the shadows and entered the room. She wore a long red dress with a thick brown shawl wrapped around her shoulders. Her black hair fell in long curls down her back. She was beautiful despite being over six hundred years old. Her magic kept her young. Though she was over four hundred years older then Sebastian they looked the same age.
"It's Viola, it's as I feared. She is dead." Sebastian sobbed into his hands. Nicolette's eyebrows knitted together and she placed a hand on her chest.
"That can't be. I- I would have know if my own niece had departed from this earth." Her voice was full of disbelief. She walked over and took a seat in one of the old chairs. She shook as her own tears began to spill.
"I didn't even know and I'm her brother! Her twin! How could I have not known? I had to go to Sophie Deveraux for help! I could not even recognize her remains."
He continued to cry as he kneeled beside his aunt. Taking her hand and squeezing it gently. Nicolette shook her head, a fierce look was beginning to grow on her face.
"How? What happened?"
"She was stripped of her magic, abandoned by all sources. She was held captive and questioned for information, but she could not give it. So he had her killed. He had her bled dry by vampires then burned her body. She is all ashen now.."
Nicolette's eyes swelled with tears as she took in a shaky breath, "Who did this my nephew? Who took our Viola from us?"
With an equally shaky breath Sebastian looked up and met his aunt's brown eyes, "Niklaus Mikaelson."
Arista's POV
The moon shone brightly overhead as Stefan and I walked silently down the dirt road. We were in the middle of no where, surrounded by forest. He'd made sure to tell Elijah where we were going before we left, just in case anything might happen.
"I don't suppose you'v ever tried animal blood before?" Stefan asked, breaking the silence.
We walked side by side. Him a little ahead so he could lead. I looked at him as I answered.
"Ummm, no. Never."
"Which is not something you should be ashamed of."
Pip spoke as he ran ahead of us. He was loving being out in the open. He'd been catching mice as we walked and was getting a full belly fast.
"Quiet, Pip." I said, forgetting that I was the only one who could hear him. Stefan looked at me with a raised eyebrow, I blushed and looked down. That damn wolf pup."All I'm saying is that you were meant to consume human blood. You may find animal blood doesn't sit well with your kind."
"Be quiet! I can make my own decisions thank you very much." I thought back at him.
"Let's go in here," Stefan cut in, breaking me from my angered thoughts at Pip. He motioned towards a break in the tree line of the huge forest, stepping in first. I followed silently, not sure if I was going to be able to do this afterall.
