Tyler leads me out of the hotel and down the road. "So where are we going?" I ask him.

He turns around and begins to walk down the sidewalk backwards. "The only restaurant I've been to in this area," Tyler admits. "I only got here yesterday."

"Tyler, your going to run into someone if you keep walking backwards," I warn him.

"Relax, I'm a pro when it comes to walking backwards," Tyler jokes just before he runs into a light post. "Ow!"

I begin to laugh at him.

"You could have warned me," Tyler says, rubbing the back of his head.

"I did," I point out. "You just chose to ignore it."

"Well, we're here," he says, gesturing at Taco Bell.

I cross my arms over my chest and sigh. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Maybe because I wrote a song about Taco Bell?" Tyler suggests. He holds the door open for me as we walk in.

We both order and Tyler insists on paying for me. I try to refuse his offer, but Tyler pays anyways. Our food comes out and we go sit down together.

"So what have you been doing recently?" Tyler asks, trying to start a conversation.

"I've just been exploring the area with some of my friends." I shrug my shoulders. This vacation was pretty boring until this morning.

"I hope your friends won't mind that you're out with me instead of with them." Tyler takes a bite of his taco. I'm somewhat dissapointed he didn't get a chalupa.

"They'll hate me when they hear about this! They'll never forgive me for not inviting them." I say it jokingly, but there is some truth to it. Most of my friends are huge fans.

"I don't think I have enough money on me to buy food for everyone," Tyler says.

We continue to eat our food. I don't say much since I'm afraid I'll say something embarrassing again.

Talking to Tyler has been easier than I would have ever thought. I feel as if we had been friends for years, but that's probably because of how much I already know about him.

"Thank you," Tyler randomly says.

I look up from my food and give him a confused look. "For what?"

"You're one of the few people I've talked to who hasn't asked me a ton of questions about Josh or the band. It's kind of refreshing to have a normal conversation," Tyler explains.

"I don't know what I would need to ask. I probably know more than what's healthy for someone," I admit, jokingly.

Great, I think to myself after realizing what I said, now he'll know that I'm one of those creepy fans.

Tyler laughs and I take that as a good sign. "But I really mean it," he says. "You're different from a lot of people I've met."

"Yeah," I roll my eyes. "Nobody can embarrass themselves as dramatically as I do."

We finish our food and Tyler asks me another question, "Would your friends be able to forgive you if I took you to a movie Friday?"

"Probably not, but that wouldn't stop me," I try to say calmly.

Is he asking me out on a date?

"I guess I'll have to sneak you out then," Tyler says. "How do you feel about crawling through vents?"

"If I get to see a movie with you, I can do it!" I smile at Tyler.

"Great!" Tyler and I throw our trash away and begin to walk back to the hotel. The sidewalks are crowded and we have to weave through all the people to stay together.

"Who knew one of the country's best vacation spots would be so busy during the summer," Tyler says sarcastically.

"We had to reserve our hotel rooms months in advance," I tell him. We continue to walk down the road, doing our best not to run into anyone.

We get back to the hotel and we stop in the lobby. "So, I never got your number," Tyler mentions.

"Oh, yeah!" I recite my phone number as Tyler puts it into his phone.

He smiles and puts his phone back in his pocket. "Don't forget about the movie on Friday," he reminds me as he walks off.

"I won't!" I wave to him and he waves back.
