I open the text and read it.
"The people above me are playing Bohemian Rhapsody really loud and I don't know if I should report them to the front desk for being too loud or if I should go join the party they must be having"
I listen to the music that Kylie is playing and realize that Tyler was talking about us. "We should probably turn the music down. The people in the other rooms can hear it," I advise them.
"How do you know?" Mikayla asks before taking one last bite of her sixth piece of pizza. She eats more than an elephant, but never seems to gain any weight.
"Tyler's room happens to be right under ours'," I tell them. I suddenly feel really tempted to just stomp as loudly as I can just to annoy Tyler.
Kylie turns down the music quite a bit. "Who's Tyler?"
I look to Jordyn. "I thought you told her."
"I only texted Mikayla about it." Jordyn shakes her head.
"Who's Tyler?" Kylie asks again.
"Oh, um..." I try to think of the best way to tell her. "He's Tyler Joseph."
"What?" Kylie asks, dropping her pizza onto the paper plate she had in her lap. "I don't believe it."
"I've got pictures!" Jordyn rushes over to Kylie and pulls out her phone. "Here's them talking in the lobby earlier!"
"(Y/N)! This is awesome!" Kylie looks to me, excited.
"They've got a date on Friday," Mikayla informs her.
"Why am I only just now hearing about all of this?" She asks.
I shrug, pretending to be calm about it all. "It's not really a date. Tyler and I are just friends."
My phone buzzes as Tyler sends me another text.
"They turned it down! I was just about to go join them too!"
I quickly text Tyler back without thinking.
"You still can, but there isn't much of a party. There's only 3 other girls and half a pizza"
"Wait, it's you up there?"
"Yep"
"Save me a slice. I'll be up in a few minutes"
"Guys," I say, "Stay calm, but Tyler said he'll be up here in a few minutes!" I wipe pizza grease off my face.
"Shoot," Jordyn says, "I can't find my bra!" She looks around the floor, desperately.
"How do you lose your bra?" Mikayla asks.
"It was getting uncomfortable and I'm wearing a pretty baggy t-shirt, so I just slipped it off," Jordyn tries to explain.
"Well, find it because if you're not wearing a bra, either you or Tyler will have to leave and I'm selfish enough to choose Tyler over you," I say as I try to make the hotel room look less messy.
After a while, a soft knock comes at the door. I walk to the door and look to Jordyn. "Did you find it yet?" I ask.
She shakes her head. I sigh, "Just grab one of mine and hide in the bathroom until you get it on!" Jordyn digs through my suitcase and does as I say.
Another knock comes at the door, louder this time. I take a deep breath and open the door. "Hey Tyler!"
"Sorry I just invited myself over, but you mentioned food," Tyler jokes as he walks in.
"Well, these are my other two friends that I'm here with, Mikayla and Kylie." I gesture to each of them as I say their names.
"Hey!" He gives them a quick wave and smiles.
I sit down at the end of my bed and Tyler sits next to me. "So, are you all sharing this room?" He asks as he looks around the room at all of the stuff lying around.
"Oh, no," Kylie says. She doesn't have much trouble talking to Tyler since she isn't much of a fan. "Jordyn and I are in the room across the hall."
"Jordyn is the one I met in the lobby, right?" Tyler asks, looking at me.
"Yeah, she's using the bathroom right now," I answer him. As if waiting for the perfect moment, Jordyn rejoins us and sits next to Mikayla.
"So, Kylie," Tyler says, "if you and (Y/N) are such good friends, what's her lock screen?"
"Don't use my friends for embarrassing things about me!" I playfully slap his shoulder.
Tyler laughs. "Will you tell me when she's not around?" He asks Kylie.
"How much are you willing to pay?" Kylie raises one eyebrow.
"Kylie!" I glare at her.
"I would give you half," she says defensively.
"If you tell him what it is, I'll post the picture of you and your wall full of Justin Bieber posters," I threaten her.
"That was years ago!" She exclaims. "How do you still have that picture?"
"I'm never going to delete it." I laugh and shake my head.
Tyler sighs, "I guess I'll have to ask to see it when I win."
"You aren't going to. I'm being boring and staying in on a summer night instead of going out right now." I cross my arms over my chest.
Tyler pretends to think. "Well, you are having your own party with a celebrity guest; that seems really fun and exciting."
"That's only one example, and this isn't much of a party," I point out.
"You also threaten to ruin people's reputation. That's not boring," Tyler adds.
I roll my eyes. "Whatever."
We all talk for a while, and we all have an almost normal conversation. We talk about a variety of topics before Mikayla yawns and looks at the time on her phone. "I'm going to go take a shower. It's getting pretty late." She grabs some pajamas and walks into the bathroom.
"I think I'll do the same in our own room," Kylie says, elbowing Jordyn as she walks to the door. "Good night, guys."
"I'm going to go back, too." Jordyn follows after Kylie. Soon, Tyler and I are the only ones left in the room.
A/N:
Hey guys! I'm going to be changing the title of this story sometime soon because I just decided to change the entire plot of this story while writing and the current title won't make much sense with what I'm now planning. Sorry if it's a bit confusing. Love you guys!❤
