Rescued?

   The door flung open, squeaking on its rusty hinges. No one was standing there. "H-hello?" I shakily called out. I didn't get a response. I stood on my knees, trying to uncuff myself. When my attempts proved unsuccessful, I flopped back with a sigh. "Rae?" A deep voice whispered. I shot up at the idea of someone helping me. "Who's there?" I asked. "Shhhh! She'll hear us." My eyebrows furrowed. "Us?" I questioned. Jensen, Jared, and Clif stepped into view. I gasped. "Y-you found me? Oh my god, you actually found me!" I started crying big fat tears. Jensen raced over to me and tried to get me out. The sucky part was that he didn't have the key to my cuffs. Jensen met my scared eyes and smoothed down my short hair. "Hey, don't worry about it. We'll get out of here and then we'll find a way to get your hands free." As I sighed, relieved, Head Mistress' voice yelled above us. 

   I looked up at my ceiling, then to my boys. "You can't be here! Once she comes down, you'll get hurt. Ya'll gotta leave!" I cried. They all looked shocked at my outburst. "Raelyn, we are not leaving you here, understand." Jensen ordered. I whipped my head from one man to the next. "But you have to! I will not let another person get hurt because of me. It's better for me to stay here until you have evidence. Then the cops can come and I can be free. But that won't happen if Head Mistress locks ya'll up just like me." I stressed. Clif was the only one who looked like he understood why I wouldn't let them free me. He walked over to the other two men and put his hand on their shoulders. "She's right. It sucks, but damn it she's right." Jensen and Jared snapped at him. "Shut up!" I stood up on my knees. "Guys, chill out. I'm right and you know it. So you gotta go. Now!" Clif walked Jared out while Jensen glanced back at you the entire time with the most heartbreaking look. I only nodded with a shaky smile. 

   Once they left, shutting the door, I sank back. A loud sob wrecked me. My entire body shook with each sob. What I didn't know was that the trio stood outside my door for another few minutes. "I can't leave her Jared, I just can't. She's my daughter man." Jared wrapped his long arm around Jensen's shoulders. "Let's go man. Hearing her like this isn't what you or her need. We'll get her out, soon." Jensen risked one last glance toward your door and wished he wasn't doing this. He put one hand against the door and whispered "I'll be back for you sweetpea. I'm not leaving you here. I love you." Jensen turned and, with a heavy heart, walked out the orphanage's door.
